Patxa Home stay

One of the most beautiful places to stay in South Goa(felt more like a home stay). The rooms, and beds were very clean. The owner is very nice. Very close to Benaulim beach, lots of cafes and shops nearby. Though we were there in peak season(New Year’s eve), still got it at a very reasonable rate; great value for money.

The best part of the Guest House is Geraldine the owner is a great host and makes you feel at home. Large clean and comfortable rooms makes it a perfect place for the budget conscious and long stay travellers. Its an ideal location for those who loves the sea but prefers to stay slightly away from the beach. It is a 10-minute walk away from Beautiful Benaulim beach. Good restaurants and hotels in South Goa are with in 15-minute driving distance.

We spent 4 days in Goa all spent in Paxta guest house, something we'll never ever regret. The hotel is nice with welcoming houseplants and cute house dogs and the family who owns the hotel is very kind and helpful. The Paxta guest house is very close to a wide selection of resturants and supermarkets and best of all its a ten minutes stroll from the beach. During the night its very quite so its very suitable for any light sleeper and the western toilets offerd were ones of the best offered to us during our 2 week trip in India.

Good value for money. I have been coming to Patxa Guest House three years in a row with a group of students and our stay has always been satisfactory. The hostess of Patxa Guest House is both helpful and reliable. The place is situated about a 10 minute walk from the beach and is very close to the main road and its restaurants.

Stayed at Patxa Guest House for 3 nights from 26th Feb.||Easy to find near Royal Palm Beach Resort, near to bars/restaurants such as the Hide Out restaurant.||I arrived without a reservation, but this wasn't a problem. The guest house is family owned and each member contributes in a friendly and helpful manner.||I was greeted by the son who speaks very good English, as do the rest of the family I spoke to. He dealt with my check in very well and showed me a nice room with ensuite and balcony. There is 24 hour hot water and wifi is also very good.||I left my details with the mother of the family in case a parcel I'd sent was returned to the guest house. She promised to get in touch if there was a problem, but I'm glad to say the parcel has now reached its destination.||You can get a bus into Margao from the crossroads for 10rs and I would recommend hiring a scooter. I even drove 40km to Dudshagar Falls and back one day.||I had a lovely stay at Patxa Guest House. Thank-you.||Highly recommended.

Best place to stay in south goa, Rooms were clean and very aesthetically set. The owner of the guest house cooks lovely food and thing that ppl must try is roast meat and prawns curry. There are beautiful flower pots that make that environment very pleasant to stay. At the entrance there is stack of lovely book collection. It was indeed a great stay!!

Not a good place to in South Goa...landlady is not friendly for especially indians. She is fond of having only foreigners to live there... because they pay her lot and don't even complain. Place is not clean. 20 minutes walk from beach which is not good. Because in Goa people want to live near Beach. Avoid going there. There are much better and good places in South Goa to stay in.

Decent rooms with single beds. Simple washrooms and balcony. 24/7 hot water available. Gives off a quaint vibe. Free wifi available. Proprietress is helpful, but also carries a strict demeanour. The entire place is run by the rulebook, with strict rules and guidelines pasted over walls, cupboards and the back of doors. Bachelors are viewed with suspicion. (Although, understandable in the country.) Overall, it would be a good place to check in if you were just looking to store your bags, have a bath and sleep. Anything more and it would not seem like a fun place to be. Payments in cash only.
