Home away from home !!! I feel so comfortable at this place that whenever i get a chance i book whole of the property and arrange a get together of friends or family. Always it had been a good experience...rooms are clean, airy and well lit...infact whole of the place is very clean and lively....if you want to utilise your culinary skills, well equipped kitchen and a helper is at your disposal....as i said earlier its home away from home. Hope to be there again very soon.

Do not get carried over with other reviews. First thing we found it so hard to recognized this location. it's dot on the highway with 24*7 running traffic so no way it's gonna be peaceful. No parking, no well prepared caretaker to explain and not even the owner were available to look after our concern. Just the pics are perfect rest nothing is good about this place. We paid advance but choose not to stay there.

Guest service was bad, door knobs and bolts were broken there were towels in the washroom no soap and tissue papers, washroom was very dirty. the only thing i enjoyed was the view fron the room and the tea.

I stayed here with my family. The location is just superb. Its located on highway somewhere around prior 8 kms solan. The rooms are spacious and the balcony view of valley is just awsome. The rooms are neat and clean. The caretaker Mr. Ramu is very supportive. You can see pine trees in valley. You may order food from here or there are many options available at walking distance. Car parking is available just in your visual range. CCTV cameras installed outside for security of vehicle. Actually it is better than solan to stay here as you will not get peace and serenity there in Solan as its crwowded, however, it juat takes 10 mins to reach there. The owner of property Mr. Harsh is very helpful. He committed the room even I paid at stay. He picked up my call late night for guiding me. My mother being artritis patient was worried but the approach to stay is so good that she didnt face any proble.. Thanks. We will visit again. Bharat

Rooms and toilets had stench. Face water short shortage in toilets for 1-2 hours on last day. Cafe located in building served badly cooked lunch on arrival. We didn’t dine in cafe thereafter. Simple meals (for dinner) were cooked by Mr Ramu (caretaker), a decent and helpful person. Breakfast and lunch we had at HPTDC hotel located half a km away.

Barog valley is an exciting tourist place of Himachal Pradesh on Kalka-Shimla Road. A visit to Barog tunnel and Barog Railway Station offer feeling of satisfaction to the visitors. One can stay in Rooms offered to tourists at Railway Station Barog on nominal charges. Food and refreshments facilities are available at the Railway Station. HPTDC's Hotel Pinewood and many other hotels welcome tourists at Barog. Pine trees have mesmerizing effect on healthy atmosphere admirers. People from North India come here during weekends for a change. An old unfinished tunnel, both ends of which could not connect, remind us about Engineer Barog who felt so much on his failure not to connect that he lost his life.

Good things: View, Bed and TV Bad Things: No board of the property, more of a home stay so no proper help desk, Geyser wasn't working, Electrical fittings were frustrating (especially washroom exhaust fan), no security, not suitable for family.

Beds were somewhat wet due to cold. Overall you can have unlimited fun and a comfort stay.
