This place is amazing, for people who wish to have vacations in a kingly manner. I was here for 3 days with my family from 3-6 June/24. Rakesh jee the care taker took amazing care of us. He made simple home made food but it was very delicious. I would definitely recommend this amazing colonial home to everyone coming to Dalhosie 🙃👍🏾

We planned a family trip to Dalhousie during the month of May and had the awesome experience of stay at Iris Cottage. Dalhousie in itself is a quaint and peaceful hill station with which we all fell in love during our trip, and the cherry on top I must say was our stay at Iris Cottage. We loved every aspect of our stay here. This will for sure be our go to place every time we visit Dalhousie. Things which we loved about our stay: 1. Starting from the booking process till the checkout, everything was perfectly smooth. The owners of this place are absolute gem of a person. They took care we had an amazing and memorable stay. Truly thankful to them! 2. The place exudes a rustic colonial beauty in itself and is very well maintained. 3. The location is at a walking distance from Subhash Chowk, which makes it easily accessible and all the amenities are at close proximity. 4. Lastly, Rakesh ji - the caretaker. He's an amazing person and ensures the guests are having a comfortable and pleasant stay throughout. He was always at our service and what an amazing cook he is. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every food preparation and it really felt like "Ghar jaisa khaana". P.S.: - The chicken curry and poori and aloo ki sabzi was just truly brilliant. Looking forward for our next trip to Dalhousie and staying at Iris Cottage again! :)

It was a fabulous stay at IRIS cottage. It's a heritage old bungalow. Hosts were extremely supportive right throughout the stay and likewise the cook/caretaker. IRIS will be my go to property for stay every time I come back to Dalhousie.

We visited Iris Cottage as a family of 5. What a beautiful beautiful cottage ! It is a colonial villa so beautifully maintained . Clean, serene, with mountains on the side . Delicious food, the best in Dalhousie ! We would sit outside at night and enjoy the stars ! It is a must visit if you want to rejuvinate yourselves from the hustle bustle of daily life.

I stayed with my family and the place is really beautiful and architectural. Best part is the the caretaker and cook available at the property who can cook the meals on your request( he makes amazing food and can cook most of the dishes). Best about the stay is the Host Sangeeta who is very helpful and responsive. We had planned an impromptu family function (with 9-10 people) on her property which we were able to inform about only few dates before the trip. But the host was extremely accomodating and helped us plan yhe function with decor permission etc. would highly recommend if you are travelling with family for comfortable stay

We had a great experience staying at Iris Cottage. The host was super cooperative and guided us well. The caretaker Rakesh Uncle was way too sweet and cooked great food. The property was really nice. All in all a good package of property as well as people. Loved every bit of it.

We were a group of 5 people, visiting for 2 days. We were looking for a cozy yet not so expensive cottage and this was exactly it. The rooms had a very attractive layout with sufficient space, cleaniness and enough privacy. Rakesh ji, the caretaker was available whenever needed and made really delicious food. Overall, it was a nice experience, we recommend it for travelers looking for affordable stays :)
