Pongdam View Homestay Dharamshala

We stayed at Pongdam View Homestay for nearly 15 days, and our experience was truly exceptional. The rooms were cozy, well-maintained, and comfortable. Having access to a kitchen was an added bonus, and everything, from the geyser to the gas and lights, worked perfectly. What truly made our stay memorable, though, was the warmth and hospitality of the host family. Uncle was incredibly kind and helpful, treating us like family. And Auntie ji—her cooking was out of this world! Every meal she prepared was absolutely delicious, and we couldn't get enough of it. Overall, we had an unforgettable stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Homestay was very comfortable, well equipped space with warm hosts. We stayed here for DIFF and the venue was walkable. Every room can accommodate 4-6 people as rooms are split into 2-3 rooms. Food was homely :)

We had made a booking for 5 people for a one night stay here, two weeks in advance and we had confirmed this booking over phone at least twice, as well as our timings for arriving (8am) and check-in because these were not the regular timings. Both a 3BHK and the time was confirmed to us on call but when we actually reached the homestay, they had booked only 2 rooms for us and kept insisting we had asked for 3 people. We also found out the rooms would not be ready before 9am, only when we called the night before our travel. This is despite our regular phone calls (because they don’t use WhatsApp or any written mode of confirmation) to confirm the booking / the time / everything — the only good thing they did was to suggest another (much better!) place to stay. Would not advise staying with them because they were extremely unprofessional, inconsistent and sometimes even rude in communication. They only very reluctantly apologised for their mistake. Extremely disappointed with this experience.

It is nice property situated near dal lake in village dal lake on way to naddi you reach at dal lake and turn left hear hotel shiva and it is situated opposite to redeem hotel. It better than any other hotel in this budget. Overall 5 star Fully satisfied and its value for money

We had a very nice and pleasant stay at Pong Dam View Homestay. The homestay is situated in a such a place surrounded with scenic beauty amid lush greenery and near to the Dal Lake. We had a memorable stay and enjoyed our stay to the fullest while being served delicious food at very reasonable price. You can also cook your own food in the attached kitchen too. The owner and all the family members were very friendly, supportive and nice. Will surely visit again and recommend to my friends.
