I had a two week stay at Cosmic Geeks recently - booked in advance via Airbnb. Tara, the house manager, was very helpful before my trip. The rooms are well located in the village. However, I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation. For what you get (think indoor camping) it’s vastly overpriced. For the equivalent of 9 euros - or about 1/3 of what I paid per night at Cosmic Geeks - I found a place nearby that was 1000% better (it had a quality mattress and bed linen, a ceiling fan, super clean, on site cafe and manager, etc). I was left feeling that Cosmic Geeks marketing appears to be targeting an overseas audience that is oblivious to the actual costs of accommodation in India - and getting away with it.

The 2 days we stayed at Cosmic Geeks were a DELIGHT! Besides being gracious hosts, Tara and Sam are wonderful, giving human beings. From the beautiful aesthetics of the room to the personal attention given by the them, it was one of the best stays for us. The room was cozy equipped with a heater, heating blankets, warm bed linen, an electric kettle and organic tea. There are nice places to eat close by and other things to do which Tara and Sam will tell you about. They went out of their way to make us comfortable by treating my knee pain with oils from their homegrown brand, sharing with us homemade scrubs & face packs :) The location of the house is perfect with unrestricted view of the valley. If you are looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay in the mountains, this is your best bet!

We spent 2 nights at the cosmicgeeks Markaba room and it was a pleasant and relaxing experience for us. The views are great, the host and the manager are extremely helpful. They gave us recommendations for massage, places to eat and also helped us with extra blankets and some medicines which we didn't have. The bed warmers were amazing during the night! Overall a great place to stay in as you explore the quiet village of Dharamkot and enjoy the disconnection.

I found this gem after running around looking for a place for more than 2 hours but everything seemed to fall short either on hygiene, accessibility, aesthetics, vibe of the host and the place and the list goes on! I just happened to walk in here and the moment I saw it I knew this was it. Sam and Tara are the kindest hosts - always warm and fun to be with. From laundry to cleaning to delicious home cooked food to helping out with info on things to do- everything is taken care of! It’s an independent bungalow nestled between greens and surrounded by mountains. Perfect place for sun gazing or enjoying a bonfire in the evening under the stars! Absolutely love love love the place and Sam and Tara and will definitely stay with them again! ❤️

I stayed at cosmic geeks a year or so back. We (Me and my husband) stayed there with my 2 month old our dog. It was an amazing village stay and we loved the cute little vibes of their studio apartment. Everything was very well thought out with all necessary kitchen utensils, comfortable bed with electric blanket and cozy floor seating to chill and have a lazy book reading time by the window. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to disconnect in the wilderness of Dharamkot but still stay close to all the amazing cafes there.

Amazing place. Even more amazing hosts. Seldom does your residence become a highlight of the trip but that is exactly what happened in cosmic geeks. We looked forward to waking up every morning to an amazing view and obviously Coco 😁. Thanks to the warm hospitality of Tara and Sam and their awesome recommendations, we had one of the best trips of our lives in dharamkot and are definitely coming back. Keep spreading the love guys. You’re doing a great job. 😎🤘🏽

The stay at Tara and Sam's was nothing short of a great experience. Tara and Sam went beyond expectations to help us be comfortable in our stay. There was a slight glitch where they needed to get some construction done, but they were kind enough to get us another wonderful place, at their expense. They made us very comfortable at the place, and suggested a lot of great things to do around the area. This was really helpful, as we were on a short trip. They did everything to make our trip worth our time. The property matches the description exactly, and is even better. Keep in mind 1 thing - it is a short easy trek to the house, which is usual for houses in this area, so be prepared accordingly in terms of the luggage. In terms of facilities, everything mentioned is provided, including hot water, and kettle, electric blanket etc. Food [lunch/breakfast] is sorted, as they are more than open to provide healthy, homemade delicacies, made from local ingredients. An absolute delight for food enthusiasts. We had a lot of chat around that too. Holy tea is not to be missed! We were lucky to do a bonfire night as well, and also get a glimpse of the moon through Sam's telescope. There are 2 wonderful dogs on the property, full of love! Not to forget, Tara's homemade scrub & face pack were a total icing on the cake for me. Ended up getting products from their home brand. Couldn't leave the entire vibe behind.

A lovely place on top of the mountains, away from the hustle bustle of the down yet the Dharamkot market is only about a 7 min walk. Lovely view from the room & balcony. The place was very clean & tidy and equipped with everything one may need for a pleasant & comfortable stay. I was travelling with my 3 month old Husky puppy who isn't yet completely potty trained & aswell as it being a new place to him. So there was a lot of mess. But Sam was the perfect host to the baby being a dog lover himself. Would highly recommend the place if You're looking for a nice peaceful individual room amongst the hills with your partner or to spend quality time with yourself or work from. Food can be delivered from most good café s across Dharamkot right to your door. The hosts are really nice & hospitable and available at all times for any help I required. Go for it !
