The Kashi Baba Homestay Bhagsunag

A great, value-for-money, budget friendly home stay at a perfect location which is neither too far from the happening places and cafes in upper bhagsu, yet nor too close to be loud and noisy. Quiet and cozy place that comes with a common kitchen, especially perfect for a long term stay for both travellers and digital nomads. Vicky is the nicest host around and always goes the extra mile to help you.

Vicky was great, he was helpful and I felt safe and at home really fast. He also let me check in really early . Great location close by o the waterfall. He has two properties with few options of rooms in different prices (3 beds dorms, private room)

If you want a simple, quiet and affordable stay in upper Bhagsu, this is the place is perfect. Vicky is the most amazing host and he truly made me feel at home. Any question or issue I had, he helped me with full dedication. The guesthouse is also quite close to the Bhagsu waterfall which is very nice.

Amazing place with good energy! The location in Bhagsu is amazing, plenty of things to do around but but still far from all the hustle and bustle. Close to the waterfall. Everything is very clean, which Viki takes care of every day. The lighting around the house creates a very pleasant atmosphere and evokes warmth and smiles after returning from your daily adventures. What's really nice is that there is access to the kitchen. The most important thing, however, is what kind of host Viki is. Takes care of his guests before he is asked for any help. He's just a good person. and very calm, with good energy, knowledge of his culture, various interesting informations about health and nutrition. For me there is something magical about it. to Baba without age and he has a Japanese samurai with him 😘. I've been here for two weeks and I'll be back. Because nothing is more valuable than goodness, wisdom and honesty. And this is him and his guest house and his a partner full of delicacy.

Vicky is probably the most exceptional guest house owner you will find. The location in Bhagsu is amazing, plenty of things to do around but still quiet and peaceful. The rooms vary in appearance but are always clean. The room with the bathroom that has a gap between the wall and ceiling got a lot of big friendly spider visitors though:)

My stay at Kashi Baba was excellent. The homestay is a clean place, bed and mattresses were comfortable and the sheets were freshly washed too. A special mention should be made of the kitchen, where you can cook your own meals. The location of Kashi Baba suited me a lot. It has lots of cafe's nearby and activities like yoga, music, dance, and healing workshops keep happening right next to the homestay. But more than anything else, I liked Vicky's friendly and prompt attitude and his full knowledge of local places, eateries, customs, best yoga and healing classes, and whatever service issues one may have. I am definitely coming back whenever I am in Mcleodganj/Bhagsu next.

I woke up with a fever on my last day in Bhagsu. It was raining heavily. Not the kind you'd post on your Insta story but the kind that scares you to go outside. Vicky (the homestay owner) saw me come down the stairs, and like everyday, asked me how I was. I told him about the fever and without hesitation he proceeded to ask what he could do to help. He offered to make me some Tea and toast. This is the kind of service you can expect here. An owner who cares about the guests unconditionally. (Remember that it was my last day there and I was all paid up) I don't need to comment on the cleanliness, quality etc as you can imagine someone who cares about the guests to that degree won't be sloppy. I stayed there for a month without a complaint and would recommend everyone to stop looking further and grab a room with Vicky if it's available.

Wonderful spot! The host goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. Nice mattresses and overall friendly vibe. Recommend checking out his lower property as well. More spacious rooms there.
