Don’t go by the reviews, they are mostly added by locals and are fake. Read the negative once before you book bcz that’s exactly what this place is. The owner Shekhar is rude, disrespectful and impolite. He doesn’t know a thing about hospitality. It’s not a home stay but a hotel with a few rooms. We reached kalpa at 6:30 in the evening, had these rooms booked in the afternoon already. Upon reaching we found that Our toilet seat plastic was broken, on complaining he said nothing could be done we can find another property. When we said he could have informed at least so we would have been able to decide ahead of time, he got furious for reason said that he will ensure none of his staffs attend to us and we should leave his property right away. We were 2 girls and it was not feasible to find something in dark, as the town had no electricity, despite the disrespectful and utterly poor behaviour we had no option but to stay there just for the night. So I would say if you are girls travelling or even if there is a single girl in the group, stay away from this property and Shekhar.

Hotel is at good height and just beside the monastery. You will get 24/7 watch to the monastery. Hotel staff were good and cooperative. recomendable!

The homestay is in the best possible locations in Kalpa with the clear view of Kinnaur Kailash & Narayan Nagini temple. Witnessed the best moonrise & sunrise here! The rooms could be maintained in a better way. Food was fine but be mindful that food charges will not be included in the room booking.

Fort View Homestay is a nice homestay where you can stay in Kalpa You can enjoy the view of Kinnaur Kailash from the window. Mr. Prabhakar is the manager who is a nice person with descent behaviour. Here we enjoyed the food provided by the home stay.

Affordable and amazing mountain view hotel in Kalpa. Hosted by Prabhakar Negi who is very caring and generous. He also helped us with our stays in Tabo. Location of the hotel is best. You get to see whole of Kalpa and Kinnaur Kailash Ranges (more than 19000 feet) We paid 1200 INR for 2 rooms which costed us 300 INR per head. Kalpa monastery is adjacent to it and Maa Chandika Kila/Fort is also nearby. You can even go to Manirang cafe for some good food which lies in the back. Had Mixed pakoras and chai in evening which was really good and tasty. Geyser is available, parking is available few metres away and they will help you park and with luggage management also. There is a rooftop cafe (wooden made), which was not operational at our time but it is really peaceful with a great view Date Of Visit - 26th September, 2023

Only good thing of this property is location. Just opposite to monastery. Has a very nice view of Kinnaur Kailash. But the staffs are useless. First there was power cut in our floor. The staffs were clueless. That issue solved after 1 hr after repeated request. Then there was no water in the pipeline in the evening. When we informed the staffs, they replied no water could be arranged. Just 2 buckets of water were arranged after one hour again. Next morning, they replied no breakfast could be arranged. The staff promised to refund some money in this context. We were in rush. We believed and left relying that the money will be refunded online. After 3 weeks of constant tussle, we got some refund.
