NillIn the chilling temperature of -25°C, Manoj bhaiya made every possible effort to make us feel comfortable & warm. From making delicious food to providing us with hot water every moment. He also has a pug, it's a pookie🎀 P.S: Please carry a lot of wet wipes💀💀

NillLocation is absolutely beautiful. But the property itself wasn't so good. There was a sandstorm while we were there and we doubted if the building can withstand it. There was a common bathroom between 8-10 people and it felt like a hostel in the morning when all of us wanted to get ready quickly. The food was average at best. The host was very polite but the property needs an upgrade. Stay only if you are getting it for less than 600 INR per person

NillI crossed the mountains with Sanju. It was a safe trip and I was happy to have good conversations at the same time that I enjoyed the nature. I felt connected with him! Spiti Diaries is exactly what I needed it! It is like being at home and I appreaciate how much they cared for me. Manoj was always there to help at any time with good mood. The house is very very clean and beds are confortable. Nooo cold at night!! They can also do the laundry which is useful if you are traveling for a long time. Upper floor has amazing views and a perfect spot for reading, writing or just relax with a cup of tea. I am also thankful to Chering (auntie) who let me see her temple and join for prayer. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I wish you all the best!!!

NillMy wife and I booked SpitiDiaries in Kaza during the off-season in March 2024. Initially, we were a bit unsure as the washroom was outside the property, but the owner quickly arranged for us to stay in his another mud-house homestay nearby, which turned out to be perfect. The owner is a very friendly and warm person—someone you'd love to sit with and drink chai. Through him, we met many villagers, all of whom welcomed us with smiles and shared stories that became the highlight of our trip. A special shout-out to Manoj, the caretaker, who treated us like family. He made sure we were always well-fed with delicious food, even in the -15 degree temperatures. Despite a landslide that left us stuck for a day and a half, Manoj was nothing but supportive. He even cooked meals for us when we didn’t feel like going out, even though it wasn’t part of our package. His hard work, kindness, and skill were exceptional—he even made chocolate laddoos for us! What really touched us was when we were leaving Kaza. Manoj stayed at a spot near our homestay, high enough to watch over us, and kept looking until we crossed the village, which included a dangerously slippery road. This act truly showed how much he cares and how considerate he is as a person. We can’t wait to return to the same place next time, and we sincerely hope Manoj bhaiya will be there to take care of us again. Highly recommend SpitiDiaries, especially for the incredible hospitality of both the owner and Manoj!
