Chinar Chalet Palampur - Raj & Tara Chaudhri Here, me and my friend Lillian found the best ever homestay experience. Truly, a home away from home. The welcome, the warmth, the views, the comfort, the dining with delicious, freshly prepared home cooked meals. . We are your fans for life! Tastefully and simply curated in every way, Raj and Tara s warm and generous hospitality is what made Palampur town and even Himachal on the whole, a most wonderful and memorable stay, for us. We wish them the best of the best and hope to return here with more friends, so that we can share and partake in this cozy bonhomie that Raj & Tara create.

I have visited Chinar Chalet a few times now. The room I stayed in was homey, comforting and had an all around classy feel to it. It also had a door to a private sitting area on the outside with an wonderful view of the garden. The exquisite scenery around and the amazing location will take your breath away. The other rooms are equally as excellent. All the amenities are available, from a very comfortable room, a well maintained bathroom, to heartwarming food. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and prompt. If I could describe the homestay in two words it would be homely luxury. You will feel at home immediately. Honestly the credit for that truly goes to the hosts, Raj Uncle and Tara Aunty. There aren't any words that can quite describe how absolutely lovely, welcoming, jovial and hands-on they are. If you're ever visiting palampur and want to travel nearby, this is undoubtedly the best homestay for you. I have never been so sure that I'd visit a place again and again.

Our stay at the Chinar Chalet surpassed all expectations. Our room was equipped with every possible convenience, the fridge was loaded with complimentary refreshments, the bathroom had state of the art power showers and all toiletries. The room was spacious and most tastefully decorated, the mattress and pillows were supremely comfortable. The view was absolutely heavenly with 2 balconies to view the sunrise and sunset. The garden was a blaze of natural beauty with every variety of seasonal flowers. A brook runs through the rear garden and the sound of flowing water and chirping birds is background music in the peaceful environment. However, the most outstanding aspect of Chinar Chalet is the warm and hospitable personality of the hosts , Raj and Tara Choudhury, who made us feel completely welcome in their home. Tarajis lovingly prepared breakfasts and dinners were extravagant and delectable. Rajjis interesting conversation a delicious accompaniment. A special shout out for Amar and his wife who have been trained to serve you quietly and preempt your requirements. We plan to return year upon year !

The experience stay at Chinar Chalet gives you is sheer poetry. Situated right amidst the snow capped mountains , in a valley with a little stream gurgling down. When you step in the flowers make you feel you are entering a paradise. To match it is the warmest welcome of the hosts, Raj and Tara. When you enter your studio apartment, you know this is the vacation you have been so longing for. Calling it a studio apartment is actually a disservice to what Raj has built. It is huge palatial suite which is very tastefully and royally done. Tara’s paintings adorn the walls. There is a small kitchenette that’s attached. The bath and shower have not compromised in amenities or any provisions. Then comes the view. From the huge window, you can actually take in the entire snow capped mountains inside the room. From the head end you could watch the Sun slipping away at dusk. The chirping of birds and the wind chimes would fill you with immense peace and calm. And once you have satisfied all your senses you have the best of foods and dishes planned exclusively for you. Both Raj and Tara would spoil you to the hilt till you actually leave all your worries of the world. Amar and Chandni work round the clock to keep you at comfort. The dogs Noora and Buddy are fun too if you are sport for them. Any person could heal, enjoy and have fun! The tourist places are nearby and Raj help arrange the cab. I would also recommend it to bird watchers, writers who want a great place to let their minds be, to those who want to recuperate and are looking for wellness. Tara is a grandmaster of Reiki and if that is your thing you have it too. My third visit here. And over the years the place has been becoming better and better. Their love and care has made them family, Tara aunty and Raj uncle. Visit the place. You might carry back the most needed wisdom of your lives.

My recent stay at the homestay in Palampur was a delightful experience. The hosts Ravi sir & Tara Ma’am were warm and welcoming, and made me feel at home right away. The homestay itself was well-maintained and clean, with comfortable rooms and required amenities. Food is delicious & their experiences on dinner table is the sweetest dessert.

We loved the experience at Chinar 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 the hospitality of Mr. Raj and Tara is great , they are very learned people and we feel at home , you are not restricted to your room only , feels like bungalow is yours , Tara’s paintings are beautiful and she does great Reiki too ❤️ Amar the kitchen boy makes very tasty food God bless him 🙏🏻 the bungalow is surrounded by lush greenery 🌺🌺🌺 definitely we will recommend this to others Thankyou Sir and ma’am 🙏🏻🙏🏻
