RAFA Shangarh

Location is little off road it is on the way to Bashangarh water fall. I really enjoyed my stay here in Sept 2024. Staff was really nice and hospitable. They had good homely food and rooms were neat and clean. They have two option for room and Dorms as well. Location is perfect for star gazing there is a brook near by you can walk uphill and take a detour around the woods dense pine forest.

Very friendly homestay with amazing views. Food was fresh and tasty and the local village was a lot of fun to explore. There is a waterfall nearby and the trip to lake is a very enjoyable trek. Not accessible by car, so be ready to hike a bit.

I had a wonderful stay at RAFA Shangarh. The staff is very helpful and courteous, and the prices are reasonable. The only issue is with privacy, as voices from other rooms are audible. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Didn't have any complaint during stay and was good with nice views On day of billing they shocked us with double charging of food menu citing they gave extra portions which were instead same as to other solo travellers accompanying us and dining with us . They offered bed to driver like any other property and then resorted to charging him bed charges citing they are herebyo make money just like driver is here on work. We won't recommend due to these unethical traits. Further reply on 06th July : There is no reply option to the owners pleas but we asked food from menu same as co occupiers and same food was served. To Driver they said, they are here to make money just like driver is here to make money so they can charge without letting him know that he will be charged hefty amount. They learnt their lesson or not we dont know, but they surely spoiled the gains of driver by unethical route and didnt leave a ethical bill of services. So our recommendation remains the same.

Best ambience you wont feel like going out as you ll have all the view from room itself, clean r& cute rooms with home made feeling food. Worth the money

Pros: The food was lip smacking. The view was serene. Cons: The amenities could be better. Also, the rooms need some serious sound-proofing. Overall: Value for money.

It is quite towards the end of Shangarh but the place has its own rustic charm. The food here is also great. Would recommend you to stay here but just remember Shangarh meadows will be a bit long walk

Rafa Shangarh charged the double price for food as what is mentioned in the menu card. On asking they stated that they have offered the double quantity which we never asked for. We ordered the food per plate as mentioned in the menu card. For example, the cost of 1 plate of rice in the menu card was INR 80, and they charged INR 160 for it and were stating that the quantity has been doubled but we never asked for the double quantity and we received the quantity that we asked, we never received the extra quantity. Siddu at the Birshangarh water falls costed INR 50 but they charged INR 150 for it . The rate of Siddu was not mentioned in the Menu Card.They told the driver that we are confirming a bed for you, but the later on they charged the full dormetry rate for the driver, although the driver didn't approached them for bed, they offered bed to him on their own.Overall the bill was inflated a lot, so would not recommend
