Himalayan View Homestay, Shangarh

We had an amazing experience there. The property owners were genuinely wonderful people. Although we stayed just for a day, we truly wished we had more time. Shangarh is a peaceful, offbeat location you won’t find many shops around. Most dhabas close early at night. The owners were so thoughtful about our dinner that they personally came to the meadows to ask what we’d like to eat. The food was delicious! We had been in Jibhi earlier and were really craving home-cooked food and the didi there made sure we felt at home. The morning view was absolutely beautiful and they served us a tasty breakfast with so much warmth. On the next day it was raining heavily, so we left early. A while later, the owners actually called to warn us not to leave the homestay because a cloudburst had occurred and the roads were blocked. Thankfully, we had already reached Aut safely by then. It’s rare to come across hosts who care so deeply for their guests. We were genuinely touched by their concern. ♥️ Best part was Shangarh meadows was just 5 mins walk and waterfall was easily accessible from there.

Great place to stay at a very remote but gorgeous location..very cordial people. Make u feel at home,u get freshly prepared simple and delicious food. Remote himachal is just like this.👍🤎

I have stayed at this property a couple of times and plan to stay more if I visit the village. It’s located in the outskirts of the village. Just a five minutes walk from the meadows. The views from the Homestay totally justify its name. The food is home cooked. The host Jeevan bhaiji ensures that your stay is smooth and comfortable.

It is around 200 meters from Shangarh meadows. Room is neat and clean with comfortable stay. Homemade dinner and breakfast was very tasty. Host Mr Jeevan Negi is very welcoming and polite.

Very friendly homestay with amazing views. Food was fresh and tasty and the local village was a lot of fun to explore. There is a temple nearby a big natural meadow of Shangchul Mahadev and the trip to the waterfall is a very enjoyable trek. Not accessible by car, so be ready to hike a bit.
