Frosty Woods Home Stay

Service: We got mostly everything we asked for. Owner was quite good. We had tripple sharing bed room for 7 days stay. Hence luggage was more. There were multiple cupboards/drawers and one was kept open for us for our use. Hence we requested for 1 more which the owner rejected citing they only provide one. Cleaning: They provide cleaning once in two days. You must request them so they can tell the maid to attend our room. Bedsheets they would change upon request. Food: They have their own restaurant in 50 meter distance. They give room delivery as well. Food was the best part as it was quite tasty and the rates were reasonable too. Thanks to Dileep ji (Ustad ji). Location: It is 4 km from Mall road, 11 km from isbt shimla and 10 km from isbt crossing. They arrange driver for sightseeing. Rates were fine but didn't check with other outside drivers. But having hotel drivers give a great sense of safety and comfort hence I would prefer one suggested by the hotels. In our case the driver was Ajay Thakur who was absolutely nice. Owner: Gaurav ji was great. But he left in 2 days time and we had to contact Ajay (his brother) who was also nice. View: View from homestay was great. You can walk and enjoy too but always be mindful of the buses and trucks. Wifi: Speed was quite less actually. And in the area where our third bed was kept, the range of wifi was non existent. They would work on the wifi I guess. Overall: A great place to stay away from shimla crowd actually but yes you can not walk and go to mall road (the main attraction of shimla). But that is fine because to walk and reach mall road you have to stay in the hustling areas of next level crowd and you won't find peace. So this location is apt especially for long staying people. Fine for family or any one. Would definitely recommend this stay to anyone. Also a huge thanks to Ustad ji (Dileep ji) for food. Owner if you see this review do give my thanks and greetings to him.

Room is spacious , balcony view is beautiful , the owner (gaurav thakur ) will guide you there. Delicious food is availaible near the hotel in the restraunt. Located 20 mins away from mall road. Totally satitisfied by staying in frosty woods , shimla.

This homestay was so nice. The whole atmosphere was so homely. We stayed there for 6 days and cherish our experience there. The view from the window was spectacular. The room was big and promised facilities were provided. The host was so friendly. You also order food from the room and yummy veg food gets delivered to your doorstep. The washroom was very high-tech along with hot water. It’s situated a bit far from the city centre of Shimla in a village called Dudhli but you can catch a bus to get there. We overall loved our stay there. We will always remember the days in our memories.

A small and cozy hotel near Shimla. Clean rooms. Friendly and hospitable owner Gaurav. Reasonable prices. Meal ordering and cab service available. Parking available. Fabulous view from the balcony. I stayed here comfortably for 4 days.

Very nice place ....10-15 min drive away from Auckland Tunnel, main Shimla. This homestay provides excellent accomodation at reasonable cost.The rooms were reasonable , clean and had all basic necessities. Food was excellent. The owner, Mr. Gaurav is extremely helpful and very nice and decent personality and was an excellent guide for us.

It's better room with balcony, mountain and Village view. Quiet silence atmosphere .Cleaned and Pleasant room. Totally great stay with pleasant experience.

Great location away from the hustle of the city, located right in the middle of forest, ideal place to go for a walk in the woods, amazing view of the Shimla city from the property at night, well furnished room with a big washroom, home made food of your choice ( with room delivery) available right next door, dedicated car parking space, beautiful rose flowers at the entrance. Would suggest Gaurav( homestay owner) to open up the building terrace as well for the guests. Overall nice stay.

If you want to avoid all that hotel rush, nothing like this place. Stayed here for 4 days and experienced great hospitality. Clean and sanitized rooms, home-made and hygienic meal. A great place to ditch the daily chores and find your peace. Gotta visit again!
