Arya Homestay BougainVilla, Gokarna

A BIG NO !! In October this year we made a booking for this home stay for two nights expecting it to be a pleasant stay. We started from Hyderabad by Road and reached this place around 7.30 pm. It was horrifying that we landed up on a ghat road in pitch darkness with cows around us and is supposed to be the parking area for the vehicles of Kudle Beach. There were few cars & two wheelers. Very sorry to say, none were there to guide us nor the person is taking the call. Somehow with flashlight of mobiles leaving all our luggage in car we started to search for this place. Now the story starts, from this parking to this stay we should walk down the stairs, a muddy mushy pathway, cross stones passing beach waters and start searching for the stay. (nearing to 1 km) No one could guide us and there is no board, that person not taking the call and it was night 8.30. Somehow with all efforts and thanks to google we could find this place with a very narrow pathway and met the concerned person. No proper info to our shock he said, we should get our luggage down. Then we realised that we made a big mistake. Went back again and somehow managed to get another accommodation. NEVER FALL INTO THIS TRAPS pls ! Very personal advice. Thanks

Unfortunately I can not say much good about this place. The staff behaviour is extremely rude and not welcoming at all. The rooms are basic without AC and housekeeping. The restaurant offers strange items on the menu and they don't have basic things like kichadi (being an ayurvedic treatment place, this should be well known). The walking from parking to the hotel is excruciating 5-7 minutes walk down a narrow path that is not suitable for heavy luggage, as you have to carry it yourself and can't roll it. There are not many decent places for staying in Kudle Beach, so if you are accustomed to comfort - you will have a hard time here.

We stayed probably for 3-4 days. Place was nice, location,house keeping staffs all were too good. Specially the room everything was kept and placed very thoughtfully there. The socket board, amount of tables it had and place and cupboard was quite spacious. The maker of room did thought very much to put things at the right place. Highly recommend someone who wants to have quality time near Kudle beach.

We came from hyd for a vacation and we really loved this stay. It was located on the kudle beach itself which is one of the most famous beaches of gokarna. The ambience and the rooms were really comfy and the furniture was a little ancient like. The food at the restaurant was not really nice so we had to go to the near by one for the dinner. It was a really quite place and it was like a private beach as it was a off season. The over all experience was really nice. The rooms for the price was really affordable but has no AC but that was not a problem because it was cold during the night. We did face problem when it came to the parking and finding the location. It was a 5 min walk from the parking area where we had to pay a little money and carrying the Luggage was also a real big task.

Rooms are old not that great, service also average. These guys are running ayurvedic spa also, the blankets and towels what they provide all smells like ayurvedic spa. Coming to food other than salads nothing is good. Finally location wise kudle beach is good but not maintaining properly, best part is full night you can be on the beach without any restrictions.

The room was pretty good. Pros: It was clean and well furnished with the right basics like dustbins, mosquito mesh on the windows (so that u can keep the windows open for air - not present in other places .. many insects and frogs get in because of no mesh), side tables and bedside light. Good clean bathroom with all the shower heads, taps, hand shower in working condition. (Other places always have something or the other not working) Another major Pro - very friendly staff - Ruben was very kind and polite. The owner was also very polite when we spoke over phone for booking the room. The other staff were also very friendly and professional - something that is lacking in other places. Cons: Minor con - the curtains always leave a gap so people can see inside through the windows. Pricing: slightly on the higher side compared to the other places around, but if you are someone who gives attention to service quality and other minor details, then this place is definitely worth it. I will definitely choose this place when I visit again.

First to reach the Hotel is a big task. No parking facility available....in any of the hotels situated at Kudel beach. U need to park ur car at Shivprashad Home stay for 100 rupees/day, and after that walk for 5 min in narrow passage to reach kudle beach. Don't come with heavy luggage. Don't come Gokarna during summer...it's too hot and humid🥵. I booked this place for 2 days based on the review and ratings.....but when I reached there it's opposite. No AC in room, fan not working properly, bugs all over bed and floor. When I asked the owner about AC, he simply replied AC not working. Fortunately I have choose pay at hotel option. That night was horrible for us....I have to search for other hotel with luggage and family. The picture which is present at Google is fake. All of the hotels situated at Kudel beach are not available in MMT/Goibibo. I think most of the review about this hotel is fake. My personal suggestion is...stay in a hotel situated at town and come to beach. U can get a boat from kudle beach to visit other beaches (Half-moon, paradise, Om beach) by paying 700/person or u can hire a private small boat in 3000-4000 rupees.

Bougain Villa is a great option for the budget traveler looking for a clean and spacious room right in the middle of Kudle beach in Gokarna. ||||We stayed here for 3 nights in Dec-2015 and had a great experience. The rooms are basic but extremely clean and well maintained. The bed was huge with a mosquito-net all around. There was a side table, a dresser and a large coffee table with 2 chairs. No air conditioner, but the weather was pleasant and the fan was sufficient. The bathroom was spotless and had a hot water geyser. The surroundings are quiet and we met some very nice fellow travelers who were also staying here. ||||The stand-out feature is the location - the rooms are right behind a row of shacks in the middle of Kudle beach. They are accessed from the beach via a narrow alleyway next to the beach shacks. ||||The property is also easily accessible from the private car parking. Special thanks to our host Vera who was friendly, funny and very helpful during our stay. ||||Will always be my first preference when visiting Kudle beach again.||||Why it's awesome: A clean, well-maintained place to stay on the beach. Perfect for the budget traveler.||Stay away: If you are looking for any kind of luxury or in-room service and frills.
