This beach stay has an excellent location, just a stone's throw from the beach, and is beautifully surrounded by lush greenery, offering a serene and refreshing environment. While it doesn't have air conditioning, the natural breeze, especially during monsoon and winter, keeps the atmosphere comfortably cool, making it a perfect choice for a nature-inspired getaway. Review: Location: The stay is very close to the beach; the beach is just outside the entrance gate. It’s peaceful, with minimal crowd, and the Mahabaleshwar temple is about a 10-minute walk. The rooms are surrounded by greenery, offering a calm environment. Food: Several shacks and cafes are available nearby on the beach. While the food was okay, prices were on the higher side. The beach view while dining was a nice touch. Activities: There are no activities for children or adults within the property. You can enjoy the beach for your leisure activities. Room: The rooms are extremely basic, with minimal amenities—a bed, two chairs, a table, and a kitchen slab with a sink. The bathroom had only a small bucket, mug, and hand shower. There were no hangers for clothes, and insects and mosquitoes were frequent visitors. Although the owner promised an insect repellent, it was never provided, which should have been standard. Dogs: While the dogs on the property are harmless, one large dog sleeping behind my door every morning made it uncomfortable. This was particularly unsettling when checking out, as it felt like the dog was guarding the room. Housekeeping: Housekeeping is subpar. The cleaner comes, tidies up, and leaves—no change of bed sheets or towels, even for a 3-night stay. Shockingly, complimentary water bottles were provided only for one day, regardless of the length of stay. This felt highly inappropriate. Owner: • Incident 1: On arrival at 10 AM, no one was available to guide us. The owner, who appeared to be sleeping, only responded after being called. Although he assisted in arranging a bike rental without a driving license (using a PAN card as security), basic hospitality was lacking. • Incident 2: On the second day, hot water was unavailable. Despite multiple calls, the owner didn’t respond for 30 minutes. When I approached him, he dismissively mentioned it would take 30 minutes to fix, delaying our plans. Later, he confronted me rudely about ID proof and payment, blaming me for not doing it earlier, despite him not requesting it at check-in. His argumentative behavior was unnecessary and unprofessional. • Incident 3: I requested a late checkout due to travel plans, and the owner agreed to finalize the charges later. When I returned at 11 PM, he called to discuss but abruptly ended the conversation, asking me to discuss in the morning. The next day, when I tried negotiating, he responded angrily, arguing about losses and sarcastically dismissing my request. Eventually, he agreed to a reduced fee but continued with rude comments and a sarcastic tone, showing a complete lack of respect for guests. Overall: Except for the location, this stay offers no positive points. The owner’s rude behavior and lack of basic hospitality overshadow any convenience. Housekeeping is below standard, and the facilities are minimal. I strongly recommend staying in a better hotel in the city center and renting a bike to visit the beach. Rating: ⭐ for the location ⭐ for the bike rental service

We had an extremely great experience with Dakshinamurthi Beach Stay. We booked a room from 31st Oct to 3rd Nov 2024. The room was neat and clean. Key person of Management Mr. Vishwajeet is very consummate. Genuinely affordable and value for money. Stay Surrounded by greenery. Easy to access Market, Cafe's and all Temples. I recommend Dakshinamurthi Beach Stay for the best every Beach Stay experience in Gokarna.

Nice location. A big parking space within the compound surrounding trees. Beautiful clean beach is just in front of property. A good picnic spot for group and enough place to cook food etc in the area . the property has 8 rooms, a good wifi. Best area to stay in monsoon or in dec and jan.

Hi, I did not wanted to write a review on this but I had to. The photos in the Google is not the same to what the place actually is. The nets at the top of the rooms are open and frogs have made room in the bathroom. While you are taking bath, frog will be in the bathroom. Number of flies and mosquitos, no mirror in the room (which is minimum basic need), no wifi. 2k is expensive for this room.

Very good resort and location is also near to the beach and gokarna temple. Also, room service is very good and you will get plenty of private car parking space. Location is easily accessible. Also, owner is very cooperative and ready to help.

Good location close to the beach, Also natural vibe all around with Shades and plants. The Host Mr vishwajeet is welcoming. Rooms were cleans. You will meet 3 cute 🥰 companions 🐕 Scooby , Chilli and one more they were always outside the rooms waiting for us. Hoping to visit again soon.

The place is very peaceful had pleasant stay and located beach side view and it’s just 500 metre from the temple and 10 km from the railway station. The owner was very humble and had accommodated all our requirements.
