Virama Gokarna

The property is located exactly on the beach, which is its biggest advantage. However, reaching it can be challenging. Guests need to park behind the property and walk about 350 meters on the beach; though Virama staff will help with luggage if informed in advance, the narrow approach road to the parking area is inconvenient. At night, it is quite difficult to return as there are no lights at the entrance, and stray dogs on the beach can make it uncomfortable to walk. The rooms are set up in tents, but they become suffocating without air conditioning. On arrival, there was a power cut, which raised concerns, although fortunately it was restored later. Room service requires improvement—despite multiple reminders, even a simple request for an additional pillow was not fulfilled. Hygiene around the premises could be better, and there is no provision to dry wet clothes, which is important for a beach stay. Currently, the restaurant is under construction, so food has to be arranged from a nearby outlet. While this is manageable, it does reduce convenience. Overall, the property may be more suitable for couples looking for a rustic beachside experience, but it may not suit families. With better service, improved amenities, and focus on guest comfort, the place could truly match its excellent location.

We went as a group for a small getaway. Great place with friendly staff AND the host was very accomadating. Clean toilets and brand new ac's are my biggest priorities. All rooms have decent privacy. Mosquitoes (anywhere in gokarna after rains) might be a problem, but a repellant should do the trick. The kitchen was still getting done, and so the next time would be what i am looking forward to (with a promise of great music and vibe from the host!).

Had a really good time here! The tents were clean, cozy and exactly like the photos. Theres a short walk to get to the property but you can get just about everything delivered to your tent without having to leave the property. The host was quite friendly and quick to respond, which made check-in and everything else super smooth. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

I’ve stayed in a lot of airbnbs across India but nothing comes close to Virama. The tent, the washroom, the sit out, everything is so well thought and designed. I had an incredible time at the property. The host is extremely kind and is quite a vibe to be around, honestly. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends and family.

Very well located property with luxurious and cozy rooms. Loved our stay and it was elevated by the warm welcome by Anoop. Really nice to have such a warm and friendly host. Anil was one call away to help us with anything. Loved the property and it has more things coming Excited to visit again

Came here on a friend’s suggestion and absolutely fell in love with Virama! Just a few steps from the beach with tents that are spotless and cozy AFFFFFFF!!!! Everything you need is brought straight to your tent, so it kinda feels like luxury glamping by the sea! The warm hospitality made it even more special. Can’t wait to be back here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Peaceful Beachside Stay at Virama I stayed at Virama, Gokarna for 4 days and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The property is tucked right next to the beach, offering stunning views and the calming sound of waves around the clock. The tents are clean, well-maintained, and offer a great balance of comfort and connection to nature. The staff were kind, attentive, and genuinely committed to making the stay enjoyable. While meals weren’t available at the property during my visit, I was told food service will be introduced soon — and I’m sure it will be a great addition. Overall, Virama is a serene and soulful place to unwind, and I’m already looking forward to visiting again.

We had a beautiful stay at Virama Gokarna! The property is nestled in nature, right by the beach, with the sound of waves constantly in the air. Our tent stay was comfortable for the three of us, especially our daughter who absolutely loved the space. The nature-inspired washroom was a standout—I had one of the best showers of my life with views of paddy fields and the sky. The floor setup inside the tent was great too—I slept on the floor, which helped realign my posture after the drive. Anup, the host, was super warm and easygoing. Overall, Virama is the perfect blend of simplicity, nature, and comfort. Highly recommend it!
