Homestead Homestay, Nagarahole, Coorg, Kodagu.

I had been to this homestay with my family for a couple of days. The place is very accessible to the city center and also it gives a feel of living in the middle of the forest. The rooms and place are well maintained, surrounded by plants and a coffee plantation. Safe to stay with family. The owner is very helpful and polite, thanks much for making arrangements and being supportive during our stay. We really had a good time staying.

amazing place. Picture share by the owner and the reality are the same. First time I saw a home stay maintained equal like a 3 star hotel. Bathroom is very neat and clean. Staffs are really good and very helpful and always ready to arrange whatever you will ask for. Owner had arranged safari for us. Good network feasibility so no issues connecting your laptop or phone. Easy to locate the place so even you are late, you can easily locate the hone stay. Food is good and with a lot of variety. House is surrounded with coffee trees and lot of plantations so when you will get up, fresh air , fresh coffee beans, fresh foggy weather will welcome you. No water problem, no electric problem, little bit of mosquito ( that is our pride and we get them everywhere ) but they have given mosquito liquid so that problem gone. Overall I had an amazing stay. My wife and I really enjoyed the place and the weather. Thank you Homestead Homestay for making our stay good and comfortable.

After having looked at TripAdvisor honestly I had a positive feeling about choosing the homestay but I'm very sorry this is one of the worst homestay I have ever stayed. First of all this is not suitable for families. At the time of enquiry owner says he will give two rooms but there are only two rooms constructed under one roof and therefore he would never do that no. Matter whether you are 5/6 people or more. He would say that both rooms are available and demand an advance from you. Once he received the advance he would say he can give only one room. He is not polite and friendly in terms of treating guests and only concerned about money. If you are thinking of a service and comfort, relaxation on a vacation then definitely don't choose this homestay. Secondly the cook asks each and every time how much you eat and it is so irritating when somebody treats like this way. Just to give an instance he asks whether you would have one bread toast or two. I have stayed in many homestay and never received such worst hospitality. After having paid the advance through Netbanking from account to account transfer(IMPS) the owner of the homestay says he has not received the money. He says he will go to bank and confirm and this is so pathetic. I had to call his Kutta Canara Bank Branch Manager and the manager confirms the money is credited however he is not ready to confirm. Luckily I transferred 25percent of the money while he was demanding 50percent.I had small kid and there was a need for two rooms but When the owner was not ready to give two rooms it was understood he is playing a game. But to my surprise for 4hours he kept on denying he has not received no money and he can't confirm the booking. I knew he was playing a game to eat my money and therefore he was not ready to refund. With no option left I had to go to that homestay and manage in that room. He did not even provide additional mattress and this is the kind of hospitality. We don't go for a free hospitality and we pay for this and this is how they actually treat people. We checked in at 6pm as we had plans to visit near by waterfalls. Regarding information about places around he has no detail information and he said about safari at 6am and insisted to go at 5.20AM.I did ask him in Internet it is mentioned 7AM but he made some own story and said if you don't go by 5.30am you won't get to see safari. But to our surprise next day morning when we went by 5.30am there it only opened at 7am. After we returned at 8.30am the homestay people started saying please check out as we have other customer. Just you have other customer you bloody force the customer to leave without breakfast.They charge for breakfast and he is not even provide the same.We have small kid and this is kind of treatment we got in the homestay. If you go by own car you stop your car opposite to rooms you have to either take reverse as the road is too narrow or go further and take u turn at next estate gate. The next estate people won't allow taking u turn and they start a fight if you go there by chance to take a u turn saying why the hell you trespass private property. Take a call guys before you book this homestay as the service and ambience is real bad and zero comfort. I travelled in December 2018 and stay was horrible and pathetic.

We stayed here on 2nd of October 21. Place is good with surrounding coffee plantations. It is nearby a small town Kutta. We can have a pleasant walk to tea shop in the morning / evening. We enjoyed this place very much. Weather was very pleasant. Food quality was good. You cannot have a better place with this price.

A good place to stay, but better places available around. You need to plan in advance for the same. We were in group and decide at the final day so... Service boy Sampath was very obedient and very decent. We planned our safari through the owner and we were told that safari will be for 3 hours but actually it was 1.5 hours only and was charged for 3 hour safari, felt like cheated when asked the driver about the same, he replied to contact the person thru whom we booked safari. Overall a different mixed feeling but stay was good.

Cool homestay. We had a good time here. Sampath assistance is really good . The rooms are well maintained . Food is tasty. Suggestion - please make sure to cover all the dining area so that snakes do not enter the place as this place is fully filled with trees

An excellent homestay with wonderful rooms and awesome food!! Host Pradeep is really friendly and helpful. The aid Sampath was super awesome, always a call away and anything we require to eat is half an hour away and really courteous behaviour too. The food provided was really good, especially the chicken and pork, even the vegetable dishes, veg pulav and fulkas were all amazing. For lunch, pork and extra non veg starters, you will have to order prior and pay extra too, but that won't be an expensive affair. The rooms are pretty big and very spacious too,with very neat bathrooms. A group of 10 can occupy the whole place comfortably. I guess the only thing we can do over there is to go for nagarhole forest Safari, Pradeep can help with the booking for that one too. Taking a 3 hr long Safari is worth the experience and for photographers too. Looking forward to visit again soon.

Mr Pradeep is very good host. I took lot of guidance from him in arranging tour. He went out of way on many occasions to make trip memorable. Driver Rocky and Sampat were also very good and friendly. Food was good. It's very good to see that they are always there to help you. Even though I shifted to Narikadi resort for view, I ended up calling him and taking help from him and he also helped me. He will go long way because of good attitude. Only complaint was dinner is bit late 8:45 to 9 PM. Rest all excellent experience. Wish u all the very best
