Coorg Classic Home Stay

We went on a short family trip for 3 nights and 4 days to Coorg in end of December 2024 and stayed at Coorg Classic Homestay. We were a family of 3 kids aged 13, 11 and 8 years old with 3 adults.||Our host Mr. Ganapathy and his lovely Wife took great care of us. They were extremely warm and friendly and made sure all of us including Kids and elders were well taken care of and our requirements were met satisfactorily. ||They had a pet dog named Zulu who is about 4 years old and super playful. Our kids loved playing with him while we were there.||The Honestay is very close to the main market, bus stand, restaurants, etc. it is a lovely walk in and around to see Madikeri Town. ||Few sightseeing places are also very close to the Honestay about 15-20 mins drive.||We visited the following places :- |1. Golden Temple Monastery, |2. Harangi Elephant Camp, reservoir, Tree house, |3. Raja Seat Peak (Ziplining), |4. General Thimmaiah Museum, |5. Pappy’s Coffee plantation and Glass bridge (which is closed now), |6. St. Michael’s Church, |7. Prakruti Coffee plantation, |8. Nagarahole National Park Jeep Safari and 9. Abbey Waterfalls which is a walk through a coffee plantation.||Restaurants we liked :- |1. Red Chilli |2. Bellis |3. Paddington Express Luxury Boutique - BM Road Kushalnagar.||We also ate at Coorg Cuisine restaurant however we did not like it and it was horrible.||We felt just like home away from our home at Coorg Classic Homestay. We took at entire Cottage with 2 rooms that were super clean with all necessary amenities like towels, soap, shampoo, Tea dip bags, Kettle to make water hot or tea. Excellent Wifi (BSNL) also made it flexible for my elder sister and me to do our office work while we were resting at the homestay.||Breakfast was complimentary and excellent taste. Each morning we were served different Coorgi specialties that were delicious. Thank you Aunty for preparing it with so much of love.||I even managed to wash my car with a long host pipe to maintain it clean from the dusty roads. Thank you Aunty for helping make this provision for me.||Overall I would strongly recommend Coorg Classic Homestay for a peaceful, clean and pleasant stay at Coorg - Madikeri Town.

I recently stayed at Coorg Classic Home Stay in Madikeri, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the hosts made us feel right at home. The property is nestled amidst lush greenery, offering a serene and peaceful environment, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Before booking, we called the host directly, and he explained everything very clearly, which gave us confidence about our stay. This personalized interaction set the tone for the excellent hospitality we experienced throughout. The host speaks both English and Kannada fluently, making communication seamless and enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds that ensured a restful night’s sleep. The traditional Coorg-style architecture added a rustic charm to the property. Every detail, from the decor to the amenities, was thoughtfully designed to enhance the guest experience. This property is especially ideal for groups, as it can comfortably accommodate 6 to 8 people. Each room comes equipped with several conveniences, including a kettle, a bread toaster, and a TV, making the stay even more comfortable and homely. I believe the homestay also has WiFi, but we didn’t use it because our mobile signals worked perfectly during our stay. Additionally, the host is an excellent resource person who can help book local jeep tours to Mandalpatti for off-road sightseeing, making it easy to explore Coorg’s stunning attractions. One of the highlights was the delicious homemade food. The authentic Coorg cuisine, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, was a treat for the taste buds. The hosts were very accommodating to dietary preferences and ensured we were well-fed throughout our stay. The location of the homestay is also a big plus, with easy access to Madikeri town and nearby tourist attractions such as Abbey Falls, Raja’s Seat, and coffee plantations. The plantation walk organized by the hosts was another memorable experience that provided a deeper connection to the beauty and culture of Coorg. Overall, Coorg Classic Home Stay is an excellent choice for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the charm and tranquility of Coorg while enjoying a comfortable and homely stay. The rooms were super cozy and aesthetic. I love the tiled roofs and the natural lighting in the bathroom. The property is extremely well maintained and very beautiful. It's also very close to the bus stand. With shops nearby to buy small, everyday items, the location is perfect. The food was simply amazing, the dosas simply melted in our mouths. The place makes you feel like you never want to leave. When I come back to Coorg, I will stay here. And recommending this place to everyone. The dog Zulu was also so very playful. The hosts were very kind and made us feel so welcome.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at this charming home rented through Airbnb. From the moment we arrived, the host welcomed us warmly and took the time to speak with us, offering valuable insights and suggestions for an itinerary that perfectly suited our interests. The breakfast provided was not only delicious but also a wonderful touch that added to the overall experience. The rooms were impeccably maintained, showcasing a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a cozy and inviting accommodation. My friends and family will definitely be hearing about this gem!

The hosts are very kind and welcoming. It had rained heavily on the day of our arrival and caused us to be late, they had graciously waited for us and even showed us around to a nearby restaurant for dinner.||Everyday breakfast was scrumptious, with a variety of regular items combined with local fare. Ganapathi Sir and Madam made it a point to check on us and suggest plans for the day. While we had read about the places to cover, we could manage to cover those only because of Ganapathi Sir's suggestions.||The property is very beautiful and has a lovely charm, with spacious rooms and makes one feel at home instantly.

Staying in Coorg classic homestay is Absolute bliss. It is one of the very few homestay which gave us relaxing experience. The host Ganapathi sir and ma'am has given us great comfort and helped us beyond. Special part about our homestay was food which was tasty and in variety. I would always recommend to stay for amazing experience.

The rooms very well kept, the overall cleanliness was wonderful. The bathrooms were also very clean and hygienic.||We were provided access to the Kitchenette for prepping our meals, breakfast was served to us by the hosts.||The location is within 1 km vicinity from the Madikeri city center, all stores are available within walkable distance. I'd highly recommend this place for families and friends.

We were a group of five family members and stayed in two rooms.|This homestay is wonderful and fantastic. Rooms are spacious, clean and hygienic| Lot of Greenery all around within the complex.|Hosts Mrs and Mr. Ganapati are wonderful persons who take care of any requirement immediately.|Breakfast was excellent with lot of local items and everyday different items were provided . We requested for early breakfast and hosts were kind enough to provide it.|Strongly recommend for a wonderful stay.|
