AB's Mountain View Homestay. Madikeri. Coorg.

On December 28th, I called a homestay owner around 6 PM for a room for 4 people. She quoted ₹4,000 per day and refused to bargain. I told her we’d arrive by 8 PM, and she agreed. When we reached at 8:30 PM, she suddenly increased the price to ₹6,000, claiming she had given the ₹4,000 room to others. As students on a strict budget, this left us shocked and disappointed. This place might work if you have plenty of money, but it’s definitely not for budget travelers.

We were fortunate to receive an early check-in, and our host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. We opted for the ground floor room, which exceeded our expectations in terms of value for money. Additionally, the host generously provided us with breakfast and offered invaluable assistance in making our trip both memorable and safe.

Value for money, basically cheap place to stay and no service. Drinking water can be kept in a public place, each time you have to disturb the host. Host was helpful in getting a rental bike, auto or cabs whenever u need.

Visited recently to this home stay found excellent hospitality by MR GANESH as well as his family.Very polite and never refused any service. He has good driving skills and shown us almost all the places by his new owned CAR.Thanks a lot Mr GANESH and special thanks to Mrs Ganesh for serving nice tea during stay.

Overall I say it is a good experience to be in the home stay here. Friendly staff and nearby bus stand. Fully surrounded with plants and peak view from the room is the best. Cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms, hall everything is good.
