Roshan Homestay

Wonderful place to stay with family and friends, this home stay has 3 rooms at first floor and house owner stays at ground floor. She is 80 plus and Such a loving person. view from the rooms are mesmerizing you can see entire madikeri town from there. They have a common big verandah for all three rooms, each room has one living room with television kettle ,microwave and (refrigerator but we have not checked whether it is working or not..) room and bathroom is clean and breakfast is also good...approach road to this property for last 100 meters are not good apart from that property in great option to choose

The (set of 2 )rooms are big at the homestay. The view is pretty from outdoor seating. An oven, a fridge, and cutlery is provided. Though rooms were dusty. Don't expect an extra blanket or so would be charged 700+ which I wonder 🤔. Carry toiletries on your like soap and toilet roll 😶 Dinner has to be ordered from outside as won't be provided in the homestay. A simple breakfast with tea is served. Things could have been better. Don't expect anything fancy.

This is the second time I stayed there and nothing has changed in 3 years. Superb location and silent. Good parking space for bikes and cars and the host is owner's mom and is super sweet. Morning breakfast is complimentary with local Coorg dish cooked in home. Just superb experience staying there.

Travelled - December 2013||||This is the first time we stayed in a home stay, but it was worth a experience. There are 3 rooms in this home-stay and our luck, that we were the only ones to stay in this home-stay for 4 days. They have a huge terrace (common for all the 3 rooms), which we enjoyed as a private terrace since no one else was there. The rooms were maintained well and had all the amenities mentioned on the website.||||1. Good location & Scenic View||2. Decently priced||3. Helpful owners||||The only disadvantage you have is that you need to go down to the city for lunch and dinner. However, the website does mention the same. All you have to do is talk to the owners and they will arrange an auto for you whenever you want.||||Would definitely recommend this.

Scenic place with the view of entire madikere from the roof and balcony of the home stay 1) sweet owner of the place who is pleasant and nice to talk to. 2) very good place to chill and relax for a weekend. 3) breakfast is complimentary 4) very much a clean and neatly maintained. 5) wooden flooring inside makes it weather friendly 6) To the front you get the view of the entire town and back is forest.

We booked this homestay two days prior to our stay during November end.On arriving one can take route from SH88 using google navigator while departing one can take route going down from Roshan's to Madikeri market.Rooms are spacious,decent & terrace is fantastic to just sit and enjoy mornings,sunset.It also offers snooker table,table tennis & carrom board within the facility.However other than breakfast, no meals are served at all. Also, do check the expiry dates on tea bags etc kept in room since we found ours to be expired. For two meals one has to visit market which takes about 20-25 mins of walking down the hill or five minutes drive through car.This place is ideal for friends who can enjoy packed food twice, playing,chilling on terrace over drinks/discussions/cards and just lazy to go anywhere around :)

I planned my recent getaway to Madikeri with my family and must admit that it was worth of every penny spent especially Roshan’s home stay which was of a wonderful experience. The aerial view of the Madikeri city with breath taking view made our stay bliss. I must say the place is calm, clean and very neat and all of all Uncle and Aunty (Mr. & Mrs. Chengappa ) were so sweet and nice and took very good care of all our needs. In nutshell it was a heavenly experience....

We stayed at this beautiful home stay for 3 nights and the experience was just WoW. Its located away by just the right distance of about 4kms from the hustle bustle of Madikeri town, this place offers a great view of the town from a beautiful hillock on which the Bungalow is situated. Our wonderful host - Saraswathi Aunty took care of us like family and my 3 year old son did not miss his grandmother! Thank you Aunty for giving us your love, care and for feeding us with your Kodava style dishes for breakfast. We just loved it! The one room studio we stayed was spacious, comfortable and clean with all basic facilities made available with the care of aunty made accessible always through an intercom connection. We spend 3 nights at the home stay and that demanded some space to move around and it has a spacious bedroom, living room, and a long Veranda/sit ... Aunty personally oversees the upkeep of the facility and it shows in the way it looks and feels - Homely. We will be back soon!
