Hidden gem homestay

Going by reviews we booked directly. Host is a very good person with gr8 communication skills. Their breakfast was delicious and the one dinner we had was excellent. The hall & dinning rooms are okay, but the bedrooms need some improvements. May be the wet climate has contributed to the formation of moulds which make the rooms musty and with windows closed to avoid mosquitos, sleeping becomes difficult at night in a closed room. Requisite feedback has been given to owner's wife who was very gracious to hear us out. Airbnb had indicated a washer was available inhouse which is not really the case. Owner's wife has offered to clear the issue with Airbnb.

If you are a tourist visiting madikeri it is one of the best place for you to stay the property is clean and safe and the owner is humble and down to earth person he guided us on what all we can do and the right price that should be charged my taxi and auto.

I stayed with my hubby at this lovely homestay in Madikeri for 9 days and had an amazing time. The location of the property is fantastic, with gorgeous views of the hills from balconies. The location is close to the market approx. 2km.The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the option of having a maid to help with chores was a great benefit for longer stays. Mr.Poonacha Uncle, our host, was incredibly kind and always available to assist us.He generously let’s borrow his scooter to explore Coorg.The stable internet and electricity made things hassle-free. We were also treated to fresh yellaki bananas from his farm. We truly felt at home and can’t wait to come back! Will recommend to stay here for your Coorg trip.

We stayed at this beautiful homestay in Madikeri for 8 nights, and it was an incredible experience. The house is perfectly located, offering stunning views of the hills from both the front and back balconies. It had all the amenities we needed, and the option of a maid service was a great touch for longer stays. Mr. Poonacha Uncle, the host, was exceptional—kind, hospitable, and always ready to help. He gave us great recommendations on where to go in Coorg and even lent us his scooter to explore. As I was on a workation, the reliable internet and power made working seamless. We were also treated to fresh yellaki bananas from his farm, and the playful dogs on the property brought us so much joy. To top it off, Mr. Poonacha even dropped us at the bus stand on our last day. We felt completely at home and will definitely return in the future!

One of the best homestay ever, Mr poonacha sir was soo friendly ,he guided us a lot throughout the trip and treated us very well, rooms are very good . highly recommend

Rooms are quiet good with in the budget..recently I stayed there for 3 days.. It's a perfect fit for a family.. it's a 2bhk spacious rooms.. Easily accomodate 7 to 8 person..if you visit during season no fan required.. owner also friendly and co-operative....he arrange for vessels to cook and to the max he lends is support for all guests...he guides you how to cover the tourist spots...he send the maid to clean at regular interval...just 1 message or call us enough.. he responds quick...hospitality is good...only thing is it has 1 washroom were Indian and western together (but still that is around 100sq ft)... Room is same as shown in the picture..

I have stayed in this homestay on a my visit to coorg along with family... This homestay is very clam and neat and also very nearly located to the town. The owner Mr. Poonacha (uncle) is very kind and generous and the stay looks exactly same as seen in the pictures. Mrs. Poonacha (aunty) thank you for the food, it really felt like home away from home... I would highly recommend this homestay and it's truly a hidden gem.
