Highly recommended! Muthu is one of the warmest host, she listened and catered to all our requirements. The ethnic breakfast she served every morning was amazing! She helped us figure out the best places to try out coorg cuisines. Spending three nights in this cozy property surrounded by a beautiful garden was an absolute joy for us.

Very good place within city but far away from all noise. Host and service is superb. She helped with itenary also and she was always available on chat/call for any request. Enjoyed the stay very much. Another good thing is attractions like raja seat, madikeri fort and omkareshwar temple are around/under 1.5km. Raja seat is infact around 400m. Also bus stand is walkable distance away and we took jeep for mandalpatti from there only. Nice restaurants like paakshala is also in walkable distance. Other places also not so far max 10-15 min ride. Will suggest this place to all.

Located within town limits but in a quiet zone. Property has limited cottages spread in a dense garden space offering privacy. The cottages have a small porch outside where food is served. Room interiors are basic but have old time charm. Clean bed sheets n towels and neat rooms. Breakfast was complimentary with our stay and had a decent menu . Good portion to get you started for the day. Overall a very comfortable and well maintained place to stay.

Amazing experience! Thank you Muthu for the warm hospitality and recommendations with local shops and restaurants. We had a comfortable stay here in our long journey. The homestay is located central close to all the major markets and attractions. Totally recommended!

We celebrated our Son's first birthday at Gowri Nivas. We stayed here for 3 days and must say this was the best decision. Mutthu is very helpful and kind. She helped us a lot during our stay and been part to our little birthday celebration. Breakfast was very tasty. Rooms were clean. all attractions are easy to reach from this place. We will definitely visit this place again. Thanks for the good hospitality.

Charming little cottage tucked away in a little lane in the middle of the town. Muthu, her family and staff are lovely hosts, kind enough to accomodate all of one's requests and needs. Strongly suggest checking with her for tips to get the most out of your trip to Coorg. The attention to detail at this homestay is top-notch. The place is immaculately clean. Breakfast is a feast. And the tea is perfect (thanx Muthu 😁).|2 days were certainly not enough for this place.

This place is located very near to Madikere bus stand and hotels. The breakfast served is of very good quality and good service by home stay owner.

I had an amazing stay at Gowri Niwas in Coorg. The owner is a wonderful lady who made us feel right at home. The house is beautifully designed to give off old home vibes, and they have done an incredible job in creating that ambiance. Surrounded by greenery, the place offers a peaceful retreat and is conveniently located within walking distance from the main market Madikeri. The housekeeping staff are also very nice and polite. Highly recommend this place for a serene and comfortable stay!
