Jungle Greens Chikmagalur Homestay

Booked this stay as i was participating in a race(Malnad Ultra), and it was a really good experience. The manager Varun made our stay very comfortable. The place is located in a very scenic place, the last 500mtrs are a little offroading, but any vehicle can cross the terrain. The property is huge, with ample parking, borne fire spot, swings etc. They had hot water available 24/7. The food was really very good, especially the vegetarian items. Varun also helped with some breakfast request i had for 4.30am in the morning. The staff is very sweet here, would recommend this place if you are looking for a comfortable home stay.

Stayed at this property from 1st June to 5th June when I went for a family vacation. Chose this place over the other hotels in Chikmagalore as this seems to be in the midst of a coffee plantation which was what I was looking for. The day breaks with birds chirping and you can hear the peacock calls too. The lack of a cellular network except BSNL worked as a complete detox for me which I was yearning for a long time. The home stay provides a free wifi and you can connect whenever you desire. The elderly owner couple stays in the property and are very eager to advice us about the surrounding places. They took us for a tour of their house which was built some time before independence. The manager of the property, Mr. Varun helped us in planning our daily routine. Two other people on the property are the Cook Mr. Chandu and a helper lady Mrs. Manju are very polite and were always ready to help us. They cooked us the traditional Maland food when we requested for some local cuisine. This place is not for those who want the high end facilities of star hotels, but it is a place if you are looking for a complete detox of your daily life. Would love to be in this place again to break from the daily stress. Absolutely liked the company of the owner of the place.

Awesome hospitality, ambience and food .The owners and the manager Mr. Varun are truly welcoming and make the whole experience worth it. Booked a room through Booking.Com. We didnot get a room to stay despite confirmed booking and we had to leave. Book this property at your own peril. Spoke with Manager/ Owner, nobody was helpful

Good location, very courteous staff, good food, clean rooms, family and kids friendly. Overall a great experience. Definitely recommend it to all. While you are there, don't miss out on the coffee estate tour. A special call out to the estate manager, who made our stay special and also gave us a great coffee estate tour. The last 500 meters to the estate gate is unpaved roads. But, it is easily navigable in a normal hatchback/sedan.
