I recently had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful homestay in Mangalore, and it was truly one of the most refreshing getaways I’ve had in a long time. Tucked away from the chaos of city life, this homestay offered the perfect blend of comfort, simplicity, and charm. What stood out most was the serene village atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. Surrounded by coconut trees, narrow winding paths, and the soothing sounds of nature, the place had a nostalgic feel that reminded me of childhood summer vacations in my native village. It was quiet, peaceful, and wonderfully grounding. Another highlight was the proximity to the beach—just a short walk away! Watching the sunset with the waves gently crashing was the perfect way to end each day. Whether you’re someone who enjoys long walks on the sand, or just wants to sit back and soak in the view, this location is ideal. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax and unwind. If you’re looking for a place that gives you the slow, soulful rhythm of village life with the bonus of the beach just minutes away, this homestay is a hidden gem. Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, and anyone who just wants to disconnect and breathe. The only issue I had to face was access to food as there were very limited restaurants nearby. I had to order food via delivery apps. Other than that everything was perfect.
