I stayed at Svarna for 3 nights. The experience was wonderful. The rooms were a thoughtful blend of traditional architecture equipped with modern amenities. The food served was traditional and lip-smacking. Could go there again just for that. The property is full of natural freshness and greenery. The staff (Asha, Ratna) was very courteous and helpful. Glad I got a chance to meet the owner, Kanchana. Very hospitable and warm. Highly recommend this homestay in Udupi.

My friend n me stayed over to spend time chatting n catching up. The host was friendly at the same time wasn't intruding our space . Appreciate that a lot. We had our much needed peace n non stop chatting. Ate some sumptuous breakfast, can't get over the sweet papaya which looked like they were naturally ripened unlike what i have eaten in Bangalore. The local helps in the property also were very helpful and friendly. ThanQ so much for making our stay so memorable. Would have been happier if we had access to the river. Hopefully next time. We stayed at Svarna, at the year end and enjoyed every bit of it. This property is strategically located close to the highway, which makes is easily accessible. We could visit all the popular tourist spots also around beach areas and around Mangalore. Hosts have taken care of our every small need and they were accessible throughout. The best part of the stay was home cooked food. We had many types of different dishes and snacks during our stay. Sitting outside the cottage or in the balcony in the morning or evening is one of the great past time for us. Architecture and design of this cottage is the USP, which brings you closer to the nature ... natural settings in the midst of the nature. We loved every bit of our stay and will surely recommend Svarna for stay.

Svarna is a breath of fresh air for hospitality in Udupi. Located in a peaceful, quiet area on the Suvarna River, this beautiful homestay combines a natural environment with comfortable facilities in a traditional heritage style home. The host Kanchana is so welcoming and helpful with every detail of the stay. It honestly felt more like being at home than at a hotel. There is a goshala on the property so you hear the nice sound of cows during the day. The food is amazing, one our favorite parts of our 2 night stay there. My wife, son and I loved the rooms, they very cozy and clean, up to the standard of some expensive BnB's in Europe. We highly recommend it and will be revisiting regularly.

Had a great time at Svarna. The hosts were very friendly and took good care of us. The house itself is thoughtfully designed with a great blend of modern and ancient fusion. Would love to go back again. Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to take a break in Udupi.

We on my South of the Konkan coast road trip alongwith our Labrador Pet stayed at Svarna Cottage next to River Swarna for two days from 14th June to 16th June 2024 . The architecture at the resort is a cool mix of traditional and modern, perfectly fitting the scenic surroundings. The place is super clean, and the food is absolutely delicious, featuring a mix of local and other Indian cuisines. The peaceful vibes and most replesendant views from the cottage of river glows during sunrise and sunset made it incredibly relaxing. Out of all the places I stayed during my road trip from New Delhi to Mangalore Svarna Cottage was definitely the most impressive and unique. Shall definitely go back to this place soon for a longer stay .....Amita Kumar

This place is beautiful, I had been here one month ago and truly loved this place. If you want to get away from the city this is the ideal places to stay. The stay was super clean and the food which the provided was organic. The host was friendly she even let us have an early check in. The breakfast was great and delicious. Brownie point - the host gave us a groundnut laddu, we really loved that laddu (if you are going there please buy some and taste it). I will definitely visit this place again. Thank you so much for hosting us.
