Gopal Homestay Udupi

I had booked Gopal Homestay for my parents who were visiting Udupi. The place is very clean, easily accessible and has good amenities. The host, Mr. Ashok is a thorough gentleman, soft-spoken and very helpful. His son, Mr. Atheeth is the first point of contact after booking. He is also very polite and helpful. He would send regular reminders about the upcoming stay. Would definitely recommend this place and will book it again whenever my parents visit Udupi.

It's a 1 BHI with all required facilities. Kitchen with gas and utensils for cooking is help full. The living room is with a small sofa set and TV you can feel like you're at home. The bed room was clean a with a bed for 2 people. Uncle was very helpful. He has guided us for the places to visit and famous food must taste in udupi.

We enjoyed our stay at Gopal Homestay. The accommodation is roomy and comfortable. Mr. Ashok was extremely helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend it if you're in Udupi.

Excellent place to stay if you are visiting Udupi or Manipal. I would like to echo the words of other reviewers as far as the host Ashokji is concerned. He is one of the nicest people we have ever met during our travels. He is very helpful and accommodative. The location, though appears to be remote at first glance, especially during nights (due to jungle like greenery and peace all around), is actually very good, just 2.5 kms from Krishna mutt and all well-known restaurants, and 8 to 10 min from Manipal campuses. The colony has some of the cleanest and well laid roads in Udupi. We would like to stay either in this or the other apt that they have in the same building for a much longer duration next time. The only reason I gave 4/5 for the apartment is it doesn't have an AC. As we stayed in peak monsoon it was not an issue. With AC, I don't mind paying an additional tariff for the place. I highly recommend it not only for the place and location, but also because of the wonderful experience we had with Mr Ashokji and his son Mr Atheeth.

Imagine your relatives home in the beautiful city Udupi and they are very nice....it's Gopal Home stay. Actually we stayed there for 2 days and it's a beautiful memory staying there.Especially,the hospitality and reception of Ashok ji is very very nice. He welcomed us with a smile and sent off with the same smile.He helped in so many things like sight scenes suggestions, food, travel, arranging vehicle and lot more. The stay is located in a beautiful environment with all the necessary items in the home. In my view if your destination is Udupi,  stay should be in Gopal Home stay. Thank you Ashok ji,

The host Ashok uncle was very welcoming. He even suggested must visit spots around Udupi. Highly recommended.

It's a homely place... reasonably clean. But there is a terrible ant infestation and the house is not easy to find unless you have specific directions. The host is very kind nonetheless and all details are available readily if you are a visitor.

The homestay is located in peaceful surrounding. It has lots of greenery in the campus. It consists of a room & bathroom, a sitting space with sofa &TV and a kitchen also with all basic utensils, RO purifier & one gas burner. Apart from this, there is also a balcony and fridge which is to be shared with the other homestay on same floor. The homestay is neat & clean and cleaning is done on every two days. Geyser for hot water is also available. Owner of the homestay Shri Ashok uncle is very nice person and attentive to your needs. They also have another bigger homestay unit on the same floor named Jaya Homestay.
