I highly recommend it! A perfect blend of hospitality and natural beauty, while the picturesque scenery added an extra layer of tranquility to the experience.It was a budget-friendly cottage for our family vacation. Also, with additional services, the campfire made our night so much fun! The charming decor, cleanliness, and peaceful atmosphere made for a truly enjoyable stay.

Initially we were very skeptic of the location, as it was little bit outside of town, but when we turned up to the location, we were settled instantly. So much peace and so clean rooms. They have their own plantations in the property, a water well, and a friendly dog too. Owner was very friendly, we had talks for several hours with him, such a humble guy. Pricing too was very justified, although we didn't knew how much we were charged for the food, but for that delicacy they provided, it was definitely worth more than they charged. Best homely South Indian food I've had in years. Coming on to rooms, they were clean too, bathroom was well maintained. and we were not provided with all the sanitaries, but considering this as a homestay, it was well maintained and cleaned. Had a very peaceful and relaxing sleep there. Will recommend this stay to anyone blindly, if you want to stay away from all the noise of the town. But if you want to be near to all the spots, then one can avoid this definitely a 5/5 recommend, P.S. I have plans of going to munnar and stay at Athens cottage again🫶🏻 All thanks to the owner

Uncle Aunty (owners) were welcoming. Aunty makes beautiful idli and sambhar with home made chutney. Clean rooms, beautiful view. It's 11km away from munnar city which was nice for us that's what we wanted. Good people to stay with.. Will miss Aunty's idli.. Do request them for idli for breakfast recommended..

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 6 nights and we loved it! A wonderful Homestay in a very beautiful part of Munnar, quiet and peaceful with lovely views. The room and bathroom was excellent - very clean, comfortable bed and lots of hot water. The homecooked food here is superb - very very tasty, the best food we have eaten!! The hosts are so friendly and very welcoming. They were very helpful in organising a jeep tour we did and taking us to see Kathakali and Kalaripayattu performances nearby which was very good. We had the best time staying here and would highly recommend! A big THANK YOU, we loved it and hope to come back and visit soon!

We stayed in this cottage for 2 days, it is located 10Km before the Munnar town. The cottage is just 1.5Km from Anachal bustop, host came to the bus stop to pick us. The room is very clean and neat with 24Hrs hot water and wifi facility. It is a very peaceful environment surrounded by the garden owned by hosts. Hosts are very friendly and helpful, you will feel that you visited to your friend's home on a holiday trip. He guided us to some places to visit and taken us to spice garden, chocolate factory, elephant safari and also Kalari fight show. You will have a frequent buses from Anachal to Munnar. If you are a foodie and wanted to taste the real Kerala dishes, I strongly recommend you to stay here and tell them prior if you want some dish. We really loved the Kerala dishes chicken curry, appam, fish curry and also some vegetable curries. They charged very less amount for the food. We loved staying here.

We booked Athen's cottage for 2 nights for my family of 6. Right from the time we landed in Munnar ,the host kuriakose uncle co ordinated well with us and guided us to get there. Once there we were very warmly welcomed by the smell of fresh spices. Delcy aunty (Mrs Kuriakose) with her most infective smile handed over the keys to us to refresh and got us some nice tea. By the time we relaxed a bit and were ready to for the day uncle discussed with us the plans for the day and also assisted with local sight seeing. We had some awesome time with the off road Jeep Safari, spice garden visit,kalaripayettu, a couple of dams and lakes. The best part of the entire trip was the food and the hospitality. The food cooked by aunty was to die to for..Typical Kerala food which I'm sure one wouldn't get to taste even in restaurants. We ate and ate and ate.. all our meals were at the homestay and|Our meal times were fun. This couple made our stay here so beautiful.|The rooms and were very hygienic and clean and were set in the midst of nature's lap far away from all the crowd and noise. All we could hear was the chirping of birds. Waking up to the greenery around was sure a treat to the eyes!|For those who wish to stay in a beautiful homely setup away from the hustle bustle of the city and in a budget,this is the place to be. Both of the hosts are so friendly that you just wouldn't want to come out of there.|I'd definitely recommend this place to all I know and this will be our stay on our next visit here😁 |P.S My 15 month old son had the best time here too.

I had a lovely stay at Athens Cottage. My room was very clean with lovely views onto the garden. Both Kuriakos and Delsi were very welcoming and cheerful hosts which made me feel like at home. Delsi is a superb cook, creating mouth watering dishes from their home grown organic vegetables. A heaven for a veggie! The place is a few kms away from Munnar but it's actually a bonus and a great opportunity to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Indian towns and cities. One can easily get to Munnar by public transport or rickshaw if so is required. The only criticism that I have is that the pricing isn't transparent. I didn't know I was being charged for dinner and how much I was being charged until the checkout. Also, more recommendations of local sights and activities would have been welcome. Overall a great stay that could have been just perfect if it hadn't been for the 'miscommunication'.
