We stayed at Perch by the Sea in October 2025 — an all-girls (and one very pampered pup) getaway! Our mission: find a peaceful place by the sea for our 76-year-old mom to relax and for our puppy, Bella, to chase her beach dreams. After being politely turned down by several “pet-friendly” stays (who apparently meant friendly in theory 😅), Nikhil and team came to the rescue! We stayed in the big room on the first floor — the view was absolutely breathtaking, and the rates didn’t break the bank (a rare combo these days!). Mom loved her morning sea breeze, the kids couldn’t get enough of the waves, and Bella… well, she found her calling. She spent hours just gazing at the sea from the balcony like she was in a doggy version of a Bollywood movie. 🐶💨🌅 Breakfast was delicious, the beach — accessible by a few steps — felt like our very own private paradise, and every evening ended with laughter and salty air. We also got to experience the rains and roar of the ocean on one of the days. Huge thanks to Manager Abhi for being super helpful, and to Ramesh (hope I got the name right!) for his warm service and smile. A big shout out to Nikhil and the Perch by the Sea team for giving us 4 days of pure peace, sea, and joy. We came for the view… and left with beautiful memories (and one very happy dog)! 🏖️❤️

I originally planned to stay just one night, but it turned into three wonderful days and honestly, I wish I could have stayed even longer! This homestay truly feels like a home away from home. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel part of the family from the very first moment. The place itself is beautiful, the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and experience the rich cultural side of Kerala. The food was absolutely amazing — fresh, authentic, and prepared with so much love. A truly special place that I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for genuine Kerala hospitality and a peaceful stay. I will definitely be back! 🌿❤️

We initially booked this property for just one night but ended up extending our stay for three more, that’s how much we loved it! The place is peaceful, surrounded by natural beauty, and has such a calm, homely vibe. The people here are incredibly sweet, helpful, and genuinely hospitable, we truly felt like we were at home. The food was absolutely delicious; every morning brought a new dish, each one tastier than the last! A special thanks to Abhi, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. He guided us on what to explore nearby and even arranged a visit to a Theyam performance at the best possible price, such a wonderful experience! We left with full hearts and beautiful memories. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and heartwarming stay. ❤️

Great Beach Side Home Stay to chill and relax . One can come here to enjoy the beach side view with private beach access and see Theyyam traditional dance held in November . Only one suggestion to owner is that rooms locks are not well maintained and rooms needs a bit renovation else everything is good. Small windows needs broader curtains for privacy . And its a bit pricey according to the place .

We've stayed here twice now and the experience has been brilliant. The location is perfect, right next to the sea. The food cooked by the in-house staff is always tasty and produce is freshly sourced. Very helpful and kind staff. I'd always stay here if I came to Kannur. Perfect vibe to relax and chill.

Wonderful experience with this stay. Like the name says, it’s perched next to the sea and you wake up and sleep with the sound of magical ocean waves, you have your private beach access. The caretaker and manager are super friendly. The tea is really good. 😊
