Delight Home Stay

A local friend recommended we stay here saying the owners were the kindest people. She couldn’t have been more right! David and Flowery will put so much effort into your stay - ensuring you have a way to get from the airport, making an amazing breakfast (local or European style) and giving great recommendations of restaurants to eat. All of the staff members were so kind - for example Henry gave us a tour of the plants in their garden - showing us curry leaves and other herbs. The only bad part was having to leave. I would definitely stay here again and it’s a great place to be as a tourist - lots to do in fort kochi

The Homestay is in the perfect location in fort kochi. David and flowery were great hosts, they have helped us organise different taxis to different parts of Kerala and organised a backwaters tour for us. The breakfast was delicious too. Rooms were clean and spacious. Highly recommend!

Delight Homestay is an absolute delight. David was the most welcoming and friendly host who gave some great recommendations during our stays. We liked it so much the first day, we decided to return for our last day of our trip! It is such a short walk from all of the major attractions within Fort Kochi and the house/garden is beautifully maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you for hosting us, we'd definitely recommend a stay here!

We were a little surprised when we were delivered in front of the accommodation late at night. There was neither something to eat nor to drink. Only when we protested someone came with a kettle, but we had to go to bed hungry. In addition, the room was under a staircase in the souterrain. Rather unusual but since we arrived so late, we had to accept that. The room was very basic nearly without sunlight. There is no refrigerator, a worn out socket and a lizard lived behind the air conditioning system. However, the staff was super friendly and the situation, as it turned out on the other day, is very good. Not far from the attractions of Fort Kochi. Anyhow, we wouldn't book there again.

Very helpful and reassuring communication from David before we arrived. We had room 1 with balcony and it was superb - cool and airy with plenty of space indoors and out. David was very helpful with suggestions and gave a good deal for money changing. The members of staff were polite and friendly.

We loved staying at Delight. The house and garden were beautiful and David and Flowery couldn't have done more to make us feel at home. Thank you! Our room was very comfortable with a balcony. A good breakfast - either Indian or continental - was provided. The location was excellent, just opposite the parade ground and within walking or tuc-tuc distance of all the fights. It was a wonderful way to start our Kerala holiday.

Such a wonderful house with a beautiful garden - matched by Flowery and David who make you feel so welcome in their home. Spotlessly clean, happy, quiet and relaxing. I sat on the room's balcony for a couple of hours each day reading my book in the warm late afternoon sunshine with half an eye on the wildlife in the trees, the passers by, locals playing cricket and . The breakfasts are at 8am, fruit, coffee/tea, eggs, toast etc.. Try the pepper on your eggs as it's from the pepper tree in their garden.| Plenty of hot water, a/c and a ceiling fan and there's someone to help you 24 hours a day if you should need anything.

Our stay at Delight Home Stay was excellent. The hosts were very welcoming. Our room was really comfortable and very spacious. Our bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely and warm. Breakfast was great and I would highly recommend anyone who isn't from India to try out the hosts Indian breakfasts as they were delicious. The home stay is really well situated for walking into most of Fort Kochi and those bits that are a bit further away are only a very short tuk tuk ride away anyway. All in all a great and very very lovely place to stay with superb hosts. If I am in Fort Kochi in the future I would stay here again.
