Plantation

Our family of 4 have been warmly hosted for a lunch stop over by Jose and Daisy in their beautiful home end of December 2023. The walking tour around the plantation was delightful and we had so much fun listening to Jose’s stories about plants, animals and people! Daisy’s mouth watering dishes made us feel so much at home we would have loved to stay longer! Thank you Jose Daisy for a memorable time. ||Suli and the family

We had a terrific experience with George and his family. The guided tour around the farm was so interesting, seeing the abundance and variety of planting on the land was an eyeopener. It was amazing to see the spices in their original state. A beautiful Kerala style lunch, using their own produce, was cooked by Daisy, real farm to fork dining. The whole day give us a real insight into the lives of farmers in the area.

If you're looking to step away from the grind and refuel, this is the place !! Such a calm and serene setting. Jose and Daisy were very welcoming into their home. Such pleasant and accommodating hosts. I hope we get to visit again someday !

We had a feast on our way to Munnar, Daisy cooked us a delicious meal in their beautiful home. Fascinating tour of the mixed plantation by Jose, an abundance of trees and plants, we learnt so much. Highly highly recommend visiting this enchanting homestay.

We were very lucky to stop by the Mundackal Estate on our way to Munnar for lunch. We are shown around the estate and explanations given about the various flora and fauna growing there and harvested. Also we heard tales of elephants passing through in the night earlier in the year!|The lunch we had sitting with the family was delicious and well cooked and explained.|We would definitely recommend staying here as the hosts were very friendly, kind and generous. A lifetime of wonderful stories I can imagine being regaled as you enjoy meals with this family.

We enjoyed our stay very much, beautiful house and nice chambers with terrace. Most of all very warm and personal contact with owners. Deliciuous meals from products of plantation and the owner gave a nice tour on the plantation. The surroundings are beutiful with bird sanctuary as a highlight

Unforgettable experience with lovely hosts who warmly welcomed us and made us comfortable. All the food made for us was absolutely divine, along with Daisy’s home made juices. Jose showed us around the plantation it was so interesting. This short stay showed us so much more than a hotel stay could ever offer, not least the hospitality of Indian people. To be able to have lunch with Jose and Daisy at their table was an honour. Their hospitality was second to none. The lunch had been prepared by both of them and was excellent. The subsequent tour of the gardens and the rubber plantation was most informative. We were also able to visit the processing plant and was amazed as to how the collected laytex was turned into a rubber sheet.||Our great thanks for this experience.
