I had an outstanding experience staying with Divya and her family in their stunning waterfront home. The home and rooms are immaculate, well-appointed and immensely comfortable. There is a lovely communal balcony should you decide to book a paddy-view room. The food was delectable—they serve veg and nonveg so all will be more than satisfied. Breakfast came to order how you like it, either Western or Indian. But what really sets this place apart is the warm and wonderful service you’ll receive. Divya was instrumental in making sure I made it to the function I was in Kumarakom to attend—I was running late and she was most helpful and patient! I felt like a member of the family the moment I arrived, and her husband and two girls are equally charming and kind. The location is perfect: just off the main road but quiet and serene. I highly recommend booking a stay here, and I’ll definitely be back for a longer stay.

It is a family house with rooms included for tourists. The family is so friendly and nice. They will provide all kind of help to you. :) It is not a hotel, so if you want the owner lady to prepare some delicious Indian food, just inform her a few hours early. The view is incredible. Amazing stay at Mango Kerala homes. Divya is an excellent host, providing lots of different activities such as kayaking and organising boat tours. The home-cooked food was delicious and the house was really comfortable. We really enjoyed spending time with the family and would highly recommend this home stay if you want to relax in the backwaters of Kerala in an authentic and affordable way!

Incredible stay in Kumarakom! We had the most amazing stay here at Mango home. It felt very homey, but still the room felt like a great hotel room. It was very clean and modern. Our room had a lovely balcony with backwater view, but sadly we did not have enough time to enjoy it properly. Divya is a wonderful host! She's very nice and accommodating- her home cooked dinner was delicious (she even made us our requested local dish!). She also arranged for us to go on a sunrise boat ride, which was amazing (it leaves right at the doorstep). I highly recommend this place! Thank you Divya for your amazing hospitality.

We had such a wonderful stay! Divya and family are amazing hosts, making our stay extra special. Rooms were very clean and our view was perfect. We had dinner both nights at the property and was one of our favourite dinners on our entire trip. We were right on the water and did most activities through Divya. If you stay, we recommend the sunrise boat tour, this was incredible. You’re a bit away from the village so we got a tuktuk in. Would recommend!

What an exceptional place. We were so sad we only stayed here one night - Divya and their family were so welcoming, we felt like we really were guests in their home. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a great balcony. The food was out of this world - some of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Divya also helped us organize various activities and taxis and was super generous allowing us to check in early and stay drinking tea on the balcony after check out whilst waiting for a taxi. We also loved getting to hang out with her absolutely delightful children. It was great value for money and we will definitely be back in future.

I traveled with two friends and Divya and her family's hospitality is what made our stay at Mango Kerala Homes so special. They were always there to help with anything we needed and made us feel like part of the family. The food was home-cooked and incredibly flavorful. The location was perfectly peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views of the backwaters. We loved all the activities they arranged, especially the boat trip and attending a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Kerala.
