Marari Austin Beach Villa

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this charming seaside property. Every room offers a stunning view of the sea, and the soothing sound of waves can be heard right from your room — a truly relaxing experience. The property is managed by Austin and Jasmine, who live on-site and ensure everything runs smoothly. It’s a budget-friendly place, just a short walk from Mararikulam Beach, where you’ll find local shops serving delicious varieties of bajis and tea. The beach directly in front of the property is peaceful and uncrowded, perfect for enjoying the sea at your own pace. While the property doesn’t offer meals, the hosts are happy to share contact details of nearby restaurants that cater to different tastes. Food delivery services like Swiggy and Zomato are also available. All rooms are air-conditioned, and a complimentary breakfast is provided.

My new favourite place in the world. On the sign it says Arrive as guests, leave as friends - totally happened to me. Felt so welcomed in a comfortable and exceptional location. Austin and Yasmin are wonderful hosts. If you ever have the chance to come here, take it. You won't regret it.

Spacious rooms, clean and well maintained. This villa is just on the beach. The family here is very good in nature and helpful. They have provided a good breakfast. You can get a view of the ocean and clearly hear the sound of waves. The price here is in budget and the breakfast was included. The bathroom and room were clean.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marari Austin Beach Villa and I know that one day, hopefully soon, we will return. So Jasmine, you and the family will be making more pots of delicious Munar tea again - I can assure you a thoroughly superior brew. ||We were so well looked by Austine and his lovely family. The Villa is down a lane inaccessible to cars and this means that there is a lovely feeling of seclusion. Don't worry though because someone will help you with your bags.||The accommodation was clean and very spacious, we especially enjoyed having the balcony to ourselves to enjoy the sunset view. Each morning we were served a hearty breakfast at a time of our choosing. I can recommend the evening meals - especially the prawns and the fish - all at very reasonable prices.||The beach is very clean and quiet: it was easy to secure some sun beds for the duration of the stay. This is a lovely place to stay and relax after visiting the more hectic Indian places. Thoroughly recommended, The Williams Family.

We stayed here for 2 nights in an AC room on the first floor. The room was big and the balcony was nice with a lovely view of the sea. However, the price of the room was quite high considering that a lot of the room was quite run down and in need of a facelift / clean.||The property itself is set back about 50 metres from the beach, but has a clear view with just a few palm trees in the way. The rooms are big, with plenty of cupboard space. The AC and fan were both very good. (The non-AC rooms only have a standard desk fan, but may be better value for money)||The balcony is shared with the neighbouring room, but there’s a nice little wooden divider you can pull across to give you a bit of separation. We were lucky not to have neighbours when we stayed, and so were able to book private yoga teacher to teach us on our balcony.||Jasmine, her family and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely.||However, it wasn’t great value for 3,500. We were fine with the room and don’t mind a bit of rust and dust around a place. But it’s only since we’ve stayed in 4 or 5 other places around Kerala that we realised how expensive this place was for what you get. As it was the first place we went to we didn’t know otherwise. The floor and bedding etc were perfectly clean, but other things like the ceiling fan and bathroom windows were caked with dust. ||We think it’s probably one of the higher end places to stay in Marari as all the other places we walked past on the beach looked more basic. (Apart from the big expensive resort) And there isn’t as much competition in Marari, so that may be why prices are higher.||There wasn’t any food available in the evenings so we walked to their friend’s restaurant which is about a 7 min walk towards the main road, but after that we went to places along the beachfront.||Overall, we had a nice stay in a very nice spot on Marari Beach. Just adjust your expectations downward if you’re expecting something you could get for 3,000 in another part of Kerala.|

Perfect place to relax and super friendly family. Me and my partner stayed 1 week. We had a nice room with sea views and a little porche to have breakfast. Location is perfect, you are in front of the beach and the family is super kind and will help you with any kind of wishes. I myself don’t eat spicy and they would always make sure to bring a non spicy meal. Another thing to mention is that we worked remotely from there. The internet is not high speed but enough to do your calls and work.

Excellent beach side property. View of the beach from the balconies of all rooms. Rooms are basic with individual air-conditioner and clean bathroom. The main upside is the location. You will setting your food straight into the beach from the property. This beach is around 100m away from the entry of the public beach. Hence less crowded.
