The Planters Bungalows

We stopped at the plantation to meet the family and learn about rubber tapping. They served us lunch that was very delicious. It was Indian cuisine and prepared by the family. The house is very well built and is over 100 years old. The owner and his wife greeted us. He showed us how the rubber flows out of the tree. We did not stay here but was in one of the rooms and it was very cute. His daughter served us lunch and chatted with us. It was a very pleasant experience and a beautiful plantation.

"A Heritage Property in a peaceful environment, close to Munnar " The climate and the peace you get there are unimaginable. If anyone wishes to go to Munnar, then this is the best Property to spend your staycation days. Highly recommended. You won't regret it!

I went with my family to take a break from my busy schedule. But surprisingly I wasn't ready for their great ambience. What I got there was a peaceful environment close to nature. Don't think twice if ur planing for a staycation with ur friends and family. 💝

Best place to spend your quality time with your friends and family. We booked their Chokkanad Bungalows near to annamudi hills. The bungalow and the view there is breathtaking. A special mention to the food, it was mouth watering. Must visit place!!! 💫

Sur la route en provenance du Tamil Nadu nous avions choisi, ce dimanche 20/01/2013, de faire notre premier halte dans l'état de Kerala à Kottayam dans cette plantation de caoutchouc. C'était un excellent choix. Nous étions chaleureusement reçu par Monsieur Johny Variamparambil et sa famille dans sa vaste maison située à l'écart de la route sous des arbres centenaires. ||Nous y avons déjeuné au jardin "sous la surveillance" de la maitresse de maison. Des mets succulents, bien préparés et variés. Les chambres avec salles de bains étaient confortablement aménagées avec une décoration à l'ancienne, comme le grand hall avec les portraits des propriétaires depuis le 19 ème siècle. Malheureusement notre planning ne nous permettait pas de rester plus longtemps.||.

On the road from Tamil Nadu we chose, this Sunday 01/20/2013, to make our first stop in the state of Kerala at Kottayam in this rubber plantation. It was an excellent choice. We were warmly received by Mr. Johny Variamparambil and his family in his vast house located away from the road under century-old trees. ||We had lunch there in the garden “under the supervision” of the hostess. Succulent dishes, well prepared and varied. The rooms with bathrooms were comfortably furnished with old-fashioned decoration, such as the large hall with portraits of the owners from the 19th century. Unfortunately our schedule did not allow us to stay longer.||.

Le dernier avis datant de 2015....je confirme la qualité de l'accueil,l'endroit magique de ce lieu et le repas succulent servit dans le jardin...visite de la plantation d'épices et d'hévéas, explications de la fabrication artisanal du caoutchou,,démonstration de la recette du fameux "poisson moilee"..un bon moment au milieu de l'INDE trépidente...nous avons visité les chambres toutes simples,différentes et authentiques mais confortables..une bonne adresse..

The last review dating from 2015....I confirm the quality of the welcome, the magical location of this place and the succulent meal served in the garden...visit to the spice and rubber plantation, explanations of the artisanal manufacture of rubber, demonstration of the recipe for the famous "moilee fish"..a good time in the middle of hectic INDIA...we visited the rooms, all simple, different and authentic but comfortable..a good address..

Nous avons déjeuné à plusieurs dans cette jolie plantation, très bon accueil, ambiance sympathique et cuisine maison avec même une démonstration de recette.|La propriétaire nous a fait visiter et nous a accueillis comme si nous étions des amis.

Several of us had lunch in this pretty plantation, very warm welcome, friendly atmosphere and home cooking with even a recipe demonstration.|The owner showed us around and welcomed us as if we were friends.
