The rooms are spacious and clean, providing a very comfortable stay. The view from the property is absolutely stunning, making it a perfect retreat. The owners are incredibly friendly and wonderful people, adding a personal touch to the experience. The only drawback is that the location is quite far from central Munnar. If you have a car, bike, or taxi, it’s easily accessible, but it might be challenging if you’re relying on a bus. In that case, I recommend arriving during daylight hours, ideally by 5 PM. Overall, my experience was amazing, and I truly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend this place for those looking for a peaceful getaway!

"An Unforgettable Stay – Highly Recommended!" I recently had the pleasure of staying at Riverbench Homestay, and I can’t say enough good things about it! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, warm, and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The homestay itself was fabulous . It was clear that great care is taken to maintain cleanliness and attention to detail. My room was cozy, with a lovely decor that made it feel both stylish and homey. Every morning, I woke up to a beautiful view of mountains and river which was such a peaceful way to start the day. Location-wise, it was perfect. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Munnar, specially for Riverbench Homestay Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It definitely feels like home! Beautiful view, peaceful vibes,spacious and clean rooms, very kind hosts Mr Sabu and his wife.the food is the highlight of the stay which his wife cooks. They have a powerhouse right outside and have a small water body which can be used as a pool.. overall a value for money experience. If you are visiting Munnar , would definitely recommend to stay at the place.

My stay at this place was absolutely exceptional! Host Sabu was truly amazing, making us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. The food prepared by Mini maam was outstanding - a real highlight of our stay. The location is simply indescribable - it's that breathtaking! I found myself wishing I could stay for months, surrounded by such beauty. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering the perfect setting for a nature retreat. This place goes beyond a typical hotel experience. It's a perfect blend of warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, and stunning natural surroundings. If there was an option for a "super review," I would definitely give it to them. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable, nature-immersed stay with exceptional service.

Pristine location, spacious, well-maintained and spotlessly clean homestay run by Thoppil family who are one of the kindest and most cooperative hosts we've had the pleasure of staying with. The food cooked by Mrs. Mini was wholesome and delicious, and Doctors Thoppil showed us around and helped us tremendously with our itinerary. P. S. They invited us to spend another night at the stay (we had a very late check-in the night of our arrival) and did not charge us for it

A very peaceful and quiet homestay, offering a refreshing contrast to city life. Hosts and Service The hosts are incredibly welcoming, and their service makes you feel at home. While there’s no hot water kettle in the room, they promptly provide hot water in a flask upon request. The hospitality overall is warm and accommodating. Location and View The main highlight of this homestay is the serene view and the river nearby, creating a perfect retreat for those seeking peace and solitude. It's an ideal spot for families looking to spend quality time away from the hustle and bustle. Road Access The roads leading to the property are narrow and steep in some areas, so travelers coming by their own vehicle should exercise caution and have good driving skills. Alternatively, cab drivers are experienced and manage these roads with ease. Distance from Munnar Town The homestay is approximately 1 hour away from Munnar town center. This distance adds significant travel time to visit tourist spots. Due to the distance and we were only able to cover 3–4 places over three days, which felt a bit limiting. Food Breakfast and tea are simple and homely. Dinner can be arranged, but snacks or other food options are limited due to the lack of nearby shops or restaurants. Keep this in mind, as reaching a shop requires navigating the steep roads. Dinner for 2 over three days cost ₹1,610, and the room rate was ₹2,000 per day. Climate Since the homestay is at a lower altitude compared to Munnar town, it doesn’t have the chill of a typical hill station. The weather felt similar to Bangalore’s, and at times it was even humid. This might be a downside if you're hoping for a cold hill station experience. Overall, this homestay is perfect for those looking to disconnect and relax in a tranquil environment. However, consider the distance, road conditions, and climate before making your plans.

We started our Kerala holiday from Munnar and this property, River Bench has given a lot of positive vibes. The property is located in a valley with diversified flora and fauna, alongside a river, beside a hydro power plant and a private space to take bath in middle of all this natural beauty. The hospitality is warm and cuisine is yummy. A recommended Homestay for tourists
