NillExcellent Home Stay in Affordable price in Idukki. It has one Bedroom with two double coat beds (couple with 2kids can easily accommodate) and a attached Toilet and a Kitchen available with all required cooking essentials. But there is no covered parking, should park the vehicles in road ride. Since this place is located <1km from main road its safer only. This place is located <10km from Idukki Township so it is very silent and have a pleasant environment.

NillA very calm and quiet location. Primarily a homestay with the owners staying just opposite. Has 5-6 rooms and is comfortable. Scenic location with cardamom plantations behind. A short 10minute hike takes you to a lovely viewpoint of the Idukki reservoir. The approach road shown by Google is under construction, please avoid. Better have a quick call before you reach. The owners are very warm and well behaved and helped with water and food delivery and also accompanied for morning hike. Recommended!

NillAmazing and peaceful environment. Clean and well maintained rooms and bathroom. They have a mini kitchen with basic needs. They have a mini forest kind backyard. The top view from the backyard is so awesome . Very comfortable and friendly place. Their hospitality is the best. Feel like stay at home. One of the best home stays near Calvary Mount. If anybody is tired of a busy city life and wish to take a break, then this will be a best choice. Thank you so much for making our trip a memorable one.

NillWe stayed here for just one night and thought we should have planned to stay here for at least one more day. Good: 1. The room is spacious, has a small kitchen next to it. They provide basic cooking essentials like a gas stove, plates, spoons, coffee/tea powder, sugar, salt, and some utensils. 2. The room has balcony on all 4 sides and has a good view of the valley below and the view of garden/farms on the sides. 3. The room was clean and well maintained. Bathroom was clean and is well ventilated. 4. We have a great view of sunrise from the balcony. 5. In the evening you can go for a small hike behind their property through the spice farms. On reaching the top (closer to Calvary mount) you will have a spectacular view of idukki dam backwaters and the mountain/islands in it. Sunset view from here is amazing. 6. The hosts were very polite, soft spoken, friendly and helpful. 7. The rooms are moderately priced and offers a good value for the money we pay. Bad: 1. The rooms are located at a height of 2-3 floors from the road. It is a homestay and there is no lift facility. We stayed in the top floor and to reach there we have to climb up nearly 50 steps to reach to the room and can be tough for elderly people. Carrying all our luggage to the room and getting them down during checkout was difficult. But the view from the top floor is the really good. 2. The road shown in google map navigation by default is in a bad condition. You are advised to speak to the hosts 2-3 kms before you reach their homestay. 3. You better to bring your own bath towel and soap. They provided bath towel on request but it wasn't absorbing the water very well. There were a couple of used soaps and we did not bother to ask the hosts for a new one as we carried one with us. Summary: It was a very good stay and is moderately priced. The hosts are great. I would recommend others to stay here.

NillWe booked this homestay after seeing the great reviews. And it exceeded our expectations. From the time we reached to the time we left, it was such a warm and memorable stay. The conversations with Eldose, and John Uncle's smile, the walks to view points, the view from the rooms, and the greenery and scenery all around, this is one of the best places to soak in the laidback vibe of Idukki. Go for it if you are not a typical tourist and want to stay away from the noise and buzz of tourist spots. Even if you are looking to see the tourist spots, they will help you out, like visits to Idukki Dam and short drives to offroading spots like Ramakalmedu etc. The rooms were equipped with all basic necessities, and we enjoyed cooking few things and enjoying them with a view. Niby and Shiju helped us with queries on direction, address and other stuff, and Eldose helped us out locally with all the logistics from morning to night, despite it being Christmas. We will cherish the night drives for dinner to Peppermint and Hotel Maharani, and the drives around bakeries and churches in Katappana and Cheruthoni, and the visit to private waterfall and their old house and lovely tea(chaaya). This is the type of place you should choose if you want to have a little different travel experience, and experience Kerala in its unique character. Few tips: carry some towels and toiletries of your own, and basic cooking ingredients/spices if you are looking to use the kitchen as they provide only very basic stuff and the only other option is to order food in. And also, be prepared for a little self-service type of experience like driving to the place and carrying your luggage to the rooms(two floors).

NillThe property is a family owned homstay and it is accessible by car from the main road from Idukki to Kattapana. The rooms are spacious with clean restroom and a kitchen with basic needs. The balcony has a good view of the Idukki valley. Idukki reservoir view can be accessed after a short walk through the farm adjacent to the stay. The owners of the property Shibu and his wife Naiby were very helpful and friendly. They don't provide breakfast although food can be ordered from a nearby hotel. Worth a visit.
