Wood Castle Residency

A very quiet place for a perfect get away. The place is designed like an old Kerala style house. There are only 5 Rooms with a dining area and kitchen. Food can be cooked or you can tell the care taker and he will get you food from outside. Did not have any bad experience but there is room for improvement like having towels for the rooms, having a good cable TV connection with more channels.

Awesome place. New management from Jan 2023. Under the new management, this is the Best in class and affordable. Stayed 2days with family. It is a 100year old wooden house with 5 bedrooms including 10 seating dining hall and 10 seating party hall/watch tower. Campfire and barbeque facilities available. Food available on demand. Cricket kit, carrom board, tri board and football for children. View point from the property is Thangalpara. Pine forest, Vagamon meadows, Adventure park and all the attractions are within 5km. Jeep Safari also available in a decent price. The wooden construction allows the rooms to maintain a neutral temperature. The care taker boy is very active and helpful. The roads are under construction.

This is not a resort, no basic amenities ( no towel, hot water, hand-wash, soap,tissues). Highly not recommended!!! Don't get fooled by the sweet talks of the management/owner. No complementary breakfast. We are not recommended to others. food is not sufficient as per the order.

We are very much disappointed due to wrong information regarding this hotel location, road access,facilities, cleanliness and features in online brochure. The road is very pathetic and damaged my car which repairing costs Rs 5000.Cleanliness of the room is very pathetic, We found a centipede in bathroom, Main door of the room cannot lock properly and the room has a show piece TV with no STB to view channels. The wardrobe inside is dumbed with lot of things like electronics,cables etc, we couldn't sleep well due to very bad quality of bed, room doesn't have even a single dust bin. This hotel is not an option for family and couples but bachelors can enjoy with campfire and alcohol since it is an isolated area. The road and room cleanliness and amenities spoiled our holiday.Hence we could not able to stay in this hotel then we cancelled our second day stay after late time check in of first day. It's a kerela style Wooden house, castle 🏰 it's a different Ambience, Nice stay for couples, family without a any disturbance. Rooms are quite nice along with Adequate kitchen which contains refrigerator also. Sufficient parking facilities available. it's nice enjoy the climate along with the camp fire🔥. It leads us to a traditional stay.

Worst ever experience. The owner assured us everything, like hot water, transportation of goods from bus to resort, and a comfort accommodation for 30 people. Even though we clearly mentioned we need extra mattresses for the additional people, we were simply fooled by the owner, saying they are only willing to give 5 mattresses else we can checkout.(at 10 30pm). **Beware, this is not a resort, rather some house, with no basic amenities ( no towel, hot water, hand-wash, soap). Highly not recommended!!! Don't get fooled by the sweet talks of the management/owner. I would have rated 0/5 if there was an option

Neat and comfortable place to stay. But come prepared with some basics like kettle, snacks, tea/ coffee, sugar, towels, soap, toiletries etc. Not easy to rush into town each time u need something. Not much choice of food available. Chapathi, porotta, chicken curry is mostly whats available (veg curries too) for dinner. The road to the cottage is kaccha and the one inside the property is steep too. So be careful when driving. Good place for a quick get away.

We stayed here for two days. Excellent location for a family get-together. Nice staff. Free WiFi. Staff tried to give thier best BUT Pros : Worst road. Unhygienic kitchen. Property needs maintenance.
