Varkala, It took me around 8 hours drive to reach from Coimbatore. I have been there on a non season visit I think it's a good time as on season time (Nov-Mar) the town is too much heavily crowded and very tough to find a stay. It's like a mini Goa crowded with Foreigners. About Santa Clause Village resort. It's is absolutely on the cliff, Your entire stay will be with the sweet sound of 🌊 of Arabian Sea, Very next to Savitri Resort, Varkala. It consist of limited AC rooms (Think 2 or 3) rest about 6 to 7 Non AC rooms, All rooms are Good and neat, All room has a closet and a Cot with mattress and pillows. Rest rooms are maintaining very well and neat.No parking or Restaurant attached a small pool is there inside resort which needs to be repaired. Overall peaceful place to stay. The Resort incharge Mr. Chakra has given us complete comfort to feel at home 🏡. Also he can give you good guidance what, how, where and when. There is a cliff way on the coast starts from the Helipad and it extends throughout the shore (cliff) you can find array of resorts and restaurant and cafes nearby famous for seafoods and live cooking, varkala is limited with Veg options I managed to find one tibetian restaurant on the cliffway near to sun park cafe. There are some cafe You can have Beer 🍺 on dine with food ootion. Other than it's very tough to find a Bar. On season the places are surrounded with lots and lots of shops and events and the location and climate and sceanary itself overwhelming.

I stayed at Santa Claus twice during my 3 weeks in Varkala, It was by far my favourite stay! It is located on a quieter end of the cliff away from all the noise and hustle and bustle. Chakra (the manager) and his wife were kind, geneorus and honest hosts and were a pleasure to be around. Pricewise I thought it was great value, rooms were simple but clean and good value. I had a fan room round the side, it was homely and affordable. They also have air con rooms at the front which are more expensive but as good as any rooms I saw elsewhere. But the highlight was the friendly and accommodating hosts. I will definatley go back should I ever stay in Varkala again!

This place is between the two beaches with the near cliff . View awesome. Now they have 3 ac room and 6 non AC room. New management new look . Free breakfast including with the room price.fun with new Nepali staff. Providing soon all type of facility. New year season rocks varkala. Off season have good rates will apply from management.

Loved our stay here! Two words, COLD FRIDGE! what a nice treat for the crazy hot weather. The views were amazing of course. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We got a good rate due to low season. Highlight was the host Babu who had great energy and a very friendly guy. We chatted about life in India and he took us on his scooter to the ATM. Location was great, close to everything including a store owned by a friendly dude also.

We moved here from another hostel because it was in a much better place, had better rooms and was much cheaper. ||||Staff were so lovely and friendly. When we were there they were building a nativity scene and massive santa claus ready for Christmas! ||||The room was nice, clean and had a fan, no a/c. Wifi was fast. It has the most beautiful view over the sea and is right in the middle of the clifftop path with all the restaurants and shops. Despite this it was still nice and quiet.

We had booked 2 rooms in Puthooram through goibibo but when we reached there we realized that since Puthooram was full, they had asked Santa Claus to block 2 rooms. The rooms that Santa Claus resort had blocked for us should be amongst the worst with no ventilation whatsoever. We wanted 2 AC rooms but since they had availability of only 1 AC room, we asked them to give us 5 mins so that we can just take a quick look in the adjacent resort for 2 AC rooms, as it was too hot, or we will take the room. Since the adjacent resort didn't have 2 AC rooms we came back as promised. ||||But now the caretaker was altogether in different attitude and was very rude. He just said one sentence: "Now I will give non AC room for Rs 2000 and AC room for Rs 3000. Take it or go away." The rate at which we had booked the room using goibibo was Rs 800 for non AC rooms and Rs 1300 for AC rooms and even Santa Claus resort goes for around the same price. So we were almost aghast at the attitude and callousness. We still do not understand how they run the resort with such unprofessional caretaker who doesn't know how to speak to customers and is so rude and fickle. ||||Our suggestion will be to avoid this resort. There are enough better options available with better rooms and better staff. When you go somewhere to enjoy, the last thing you would want to face such rude people and spend your energy.

I have been many times to Varkala and more than three time to Santa Claus, But this time it was really a different experience all because of the new and dynamic management team (Mr.Randeep Shanker and his colleagues). Our entire family was there this time, i would really appreciate their patience in handling the elders and care for my 2year old kid. Right from receiving at 3:00am, temporary refreshment arrangements, medical emergency and small adjustments in extension at the time of departure was done perfectly. Overall i have seen vast improvement changes in the rooms, campus and amenities.. Keep it up.. I will recommend even more... Meet you all soon..

Peaceful place with awesome owners. Even if this place don't offer food, they were so lovely and prepared some delicious homefood on my last day. Simple needs like hit water they easily provide. Rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Price is good for value. Thanks
