Panakkal Homes

Wonderful stay at this place! I got the contact through my friend and stayed there for 2 days — it was a truly pleasant experience. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained with excellent hygiene. No food is provided, so you may need to order from outside, but otherwise the stay is very nice. Highly recommended for others, especially for families. It’s within walking distance to the Guruvayoor Temple.

Our stay at Panakkal Homes was excellent! The property was well-maintained, and located very close to both Mammiyoor and Guruvayur Temples, making it extremely convenient for temple visits. The environment was peaceful and felt very safe for my family. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully kept. I would highly recommend Panakkal Homes to anyone visiting Guruvayur for a clean, comfortable, and hassle-free experience.

Had booked this place while my visit to the Guruvayur temple! The location of the stay is very convenient, could literally walk to the temple without having to struggle in the traffic! The stay was neat and clean and had all the important amenities, definitely a good place to stay for families or friends visiting the Guruvayur temple!

Very Disappointing Experience – Misleading Location Information I booked Panakkal Homes, Guruvayoor, Kerala through Booking.com based on the information that the property was only around 300 metres from Guruvayoor Temple. Unfortunately, this information was not accurate. When I reached the location at around 7:00 PM with my family, I was given a different location that was approximately 1.2 km from the temple. The new location appeared to be in an isolated area, and my family and I did not feel safe or comfortable staying there. Therefore, we refused to stay at the suggested location. I had informed the property in advance about my travel plans, but they did not inform me beforehand that the accommodation would be provided at a different location. Because I arrived in the evening, it was very difficult to find another suitable place at short notice. As a result, I had to book another hotel at a much higher price. This caused me an additional expense of approximately ₹2,500, apart from the inconvenience and stress caused to my family. I also have serious concerns that the originally advertised accommodation may have been given to someone else and that an alternative, isolated location was arranged for us without informing us in advance. I cannot confirm the reason, but this was certainly not what I had booked or expected. As this property is listed as a Booking.com partner, I expected the information provided in the listing to be accurate and the booking to be honoured as advertised. My advice to other travellers, especially families: please verify the exact location and accommodation before travelling. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Panakkal Homes to my friends, family, or other travellers. Overall: Very disappointing experience. Misleading location information, poor communication, inconvenience, and unexpected additional expense.
