Colonia Munnar Homestay

Had a wonderful stay at Colonial Munnar. It is a very comforting homestay with a beautiful view, surrounded by greenery and tea gardens. The location is also very convenient with easy access to other places in Munnar, and very close to activities like zip lining and the chocolate factory. Basil, the caretaker, was the best part of our stay — extremely caring, helpful, and always available whenever needed. My parents especially loved his warm hospitality and service. Thank you for such a beautiful experience. Will surely visit again!

I booked their room for a trip with my family, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Initially, I booked for 3 adults, but the booking later showed 2 adults and 1 child, so I had to make another booking. The room was not clean and had a bad smell, and no blanket was provided. The worst part was that the electricity was switched off throughout the night and was restored only after 6:00 AM. Despite calling the staff member several times, there was no response. Without electricity or AC, we couldn't sleep comfortably or charge our mobile phones properly, and even taking a bath was difficult. These issues seriously affected our comfort and completely spoiled our trip. The property needs to improve its cleanliness, facilities, and customer service. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

A modest but very welcoming homestay south of Munnar. It’s a great base for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. The owner, Basil, is very friendly and makes a genuine effort to ensure you feel comfortable during your stay.

I along with my family had a recent stay at this property.... The rooms were clean and the mattress was comfortable... Mr Basil who takes care of the guests has taken care of each and every minute detail as per our requirement. He took great care in delivering the tea and the tasty homely food on time without any delay. On an overall note this is a highly recommended home stay for a munnar trip..

We had a truly memorable stay at Colonia Munnar Homestay. The climate was simply refreshing and made our trip more beautiful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Everything was well-maintained, giving a homely feel throughout our stay. Thomas bro was extremely friendly and welcoming. He guided us with local tips and made us feel like family. The hospitality was beyond our expectations. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Munnar. We felt safe, cared for, and very comfortable here. Definitely, we would love to come back and recommend it to everyone!
