The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making them perfect for a relaxing coastal getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was the home-cooked food. Every meal was freshly prepared with love, using local ingredients and traditional recipes. The seafood, in particular, was outstanding — flavorful, authentic, and served hot. Even simple vegetarian dishes were packed with taste and felt just like home. The property is located in a peaceful area, just a short walk from the beach, making it ideal for morning strolls and sunset views. The hosts were always available for any assistance, including arranging transport and guiding us to local spots. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable place with great food and genuine hospitality, Acharekar's Home Stay is a wonderful choice. Highly recommended!

My wife and her seven friends recently stayed at Acharekar’s Homestay, and they absolutely loved the experience. Traveling from Goa and Pune, the group had a fantastic time. The homestay itself was charming and picturesque, providing the perfect environment for relaxation. The homemade vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals were incredibly authentic and delicious, adding a special touch to their stay. The service was exceptional, with the hosts going above and beyond to ensure that the group felt completely at home and well-cared for. Above all, the ladies felt completely safe and comfortable throughout their stay, making it a memorable getaway for all. Highly recommend!

We had nice and comfortable stay at Acherakar Homestay. Both owner and his wife were humble and offered great hospitality. Enjoyed homely food made by the family. Though beach is at the walkable distance but No direct access for four wheeler to the property because it’s bit inside to the main road.

Our Diwali 2024 stay at Acharekar's Home Stay was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and care. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food—fresh and flavorful fish dishes, satisfying vegetarian options, and the most refreshing solkadi we’ve ever had. Every meal was a treat! The location is perfect for those looking to relax and unwind. The serene atmosphere helped us feel at ease, and with the beach just a short walk away, we spent plenty of time soaking in the coastal beauty. The scuba diving experience was another highlight—it was thrilling and well-organized, leaving us with unforgettable memories. Mr. Dandekar welcomed us right from the gate. As soon as we arrived, he briefed us on the travel options around and the food choices available. Since the car option wasn’t feasible, he kindly offered his scooty for us to explore the market. The next day, when we requested breakfast at 7 am, he made sure to arrange it. Mrs. Acharekar is an excellent cook, and the meals were delightful. The rooms are well-maintained, spacious, and offer cozy seating to relax. Mr. Dandekar truly excels in hospitality—whenever we asked for anything, he was always ready to help with a big smile. Dandi Beach is just a 3-4 minute walk from the homestay. I highly recommend Acharekar Homestay for a wonderful stay.

Comfortable homestay with proximity to the beach nestled in the greenery giving feeling of village stay. Rooms are spacious. Food and service was excellent. Caretaker and his wife were humble and always smiling going the extra mile to provide service as per requirement

We were 2 couples, had 2 rooms on the 1st floor with a huge balcony sitout. Mr and Mrs Acharekar are very kind, caring and hospitable, very attentive to all our needs. Mrs Acharekar is a fantastic cook, we enjoyed all kinds of seafood prepared by her. Pickup and dropoff from/to Kudal railway station was arranged, plus a full day of sightseeing, driven by Raj Parab who took us to a lot of great places. One morning (6.30am) Shankar Acharekar and Raj drove us(2 ladies) to church as a rickshaw was not available. Location of homestay is 3-4 mins walk to Dandi beach, and around a 20min walk to the jetty to get the boat to Sindhudurg fort. This homestay is highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again

Getting here by self drive is thrilling through Ghat road. Stay is pleasant for the family. Homely food, 100 meter from beach which helps to play and get bath in rooms. All kinds of watersports and different boat rides are organized by Acharekar himself. Only con is it's away from market and restaurants.
