What an excellant Homestay, neat and clean and spacious, with a large common room. Host Shekhar babu is so cordial. ||Walk down for 5 mins you reach sea beach, walk down for 7 mins your reach Jagannath temple. Walk down for 10 mins you reach Station, Walk down for 12 mins, you reach Golden beach.|The restaurant downstairs is cheap and tasty. To locate this stay, tell your auto driver, 'Hotel Sagar Kanya' on Gopal Ballav street near muchi sahi. It is on the top floor. ||The BEST part is "Excellant view of Temple from the floor" No other floor has this view.

We were a group of 6(+1 child) people. We stayed here on 8-9th Oct for 2 days. During booking I was able to book 1 AC 4 bed room here and owner Mr Shekhar offered to book another room(non AC 2 bed)in sister lodge “Anand Ashram” 300 mts nearby. (As rooms were full) Both the rooms were neat and clean. After check-in to both the rooms. Mr Shekhar was kind enough to upgrade 1 non AC room to AC Room free of cost since we were staying separately in different lodges. Hospitality by his team was very good and any food/milk related request was fulfilled asap. I would highly recommend people to book rooms here and enjoy their stay in Puri.

If you are with family there's nt any hotel in comparision with such budget fare for rooms and no bachelors allowed here so no alcoholic guys atleast at the hotel.

I stayed at this Home stay for 3 nights with my family. Few observations. 1. Check out time is 7am which is a normal thing in this part of the country but difficult for ppl who are not from here to wake up 2. Lift available to reach the 3rd floor which helps the elderly. 3. They don't serve food, but there is a restaurant available on the ground floor of the building and they can give service to the 3rd floor but I suggest you can go and eat in the restaurant. 4. Rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom is big and clean, the common area is big and children will enjoy time here. 5. Pls carry your own shampoo and toiletries. 6. If you are coming in your own car, then parking is on the roadside along the building walls and I felt it's safe. 7. The temple is just 950m walking or just ₹100 by auto, the beach is 700m walking and on your way to the beach, you will get many restaurants and eateries. 8. Mild wind keeps on coming from windows which makes you feel relaxed here Overall - A big "Yes" to this property for a family. Next time I will come here again. My family had a great time here. Thank You for making the stay pleasant.

Best place to stay with family near to beach and temple. Great value for money. The stars for flexibility is to accommodate any kind of request. A must stay place if you are looking for an exceptional service or staying with family.

Rooms - I booked the entire floor, this homestay is at the top of a hotel named as Hotel Sagar Kanya, the rooms are spacious and have the necessary capabilities. Parking - There is space outside the hotel to park the vehicles in case if you are planning to bring your own car there won't be any issue in parking. The parking is on the road. Food - Food is okay RO water facility is there on the homestay The caretaker is also a good guy, also the stay is walking distance from the beach and you can take an auto for the Jagannath Puri Temple or walk to the temple depending on your age. The best of value for money homestay I have ever stayed. We 5 friends with families came here and booked the entire floor with three huge rooms, lobby and the gigantic living room which consisted artistic paintings on the wall, a humongous television, plush couch, chick dining table and lush mattress. The toilets are nice with separate bath compartment. All of them have geysers. The terrace does not overlook the sea which is about 500 meters distance from here. But it gives you a nice view of the Jagannath Temple. The manager of the house is a nice old man. He may be a bit sceptical and nagging but that won't annoy you for sure. The restaurant downstairs brings you for upstairs of you order and the quality of food is decent but not great.

A Home away from Home. If you are looking for a place near to Jagannath Puri temple and with a serene view of Jai Jagannath Mandir from the place of residence then without any other thoughts just book your stay here. Rooms are cozy, clean, spacious and amenities for the stay are readily available or provided by the service crew members. Downstairs restaurant is a sure thing when leaving for a long trip and wanting to feed on delicious food. This location is at the center point from both the Jagannath Temple and Swargadwar beach. ATMs, marketplace, and restaurant are readily accessible. We are truly delighted with and highly appreciate the co-operation by Shri Shekhar ji and our housekeeping and caretaker Mr. Biswajeet. Truly a memorable and unparalleled trip.
