Snow Lion Resort, zuluk

See some of the reviews cursing the staff, the lady who cooks, etc along with the rooms. We faced none of these. We were 10 of us including kids and quite content with the staff and the lady who was cooking. We had a wonderful Lunch, Dinner and Breakfast. Yes if you are looking for luxurious rooms, then stay out of Zuluk. The rooms in Snow Lion are not premium ones, they are basic, but we had a good sleep (Except for the dogs barking outside my window :D). But no complaints at all. We had a comfortable stay. Also there is a nice cafe ' Above the Cliff' just outside, which serves some nice Momos and tea. We had a great time using the Karaoke in the cafe :D.

This was my 3rd time visit to zuluk. And unfortunately I booked this homestay this time paying double the price what other homestays normally charge here. But I must say that their service and food quality is very low and sub-standard. Rooms are foul smelling with dirty blankets and bed sheets. Even after repeated requests to change these blankets they didn't change. You will get lots of far better stay options at half the price. Better stay away from this hotel..

Worse than a homestay, not good for family trips, if bachelor you can adjust. They promise us good facilities maybe for money but failed to serve that.

I had never met a rude/ arrogant Pahari person in my life. Pahari people are known and appreciated for their resilient nature. We as a tourist group were shocked to see such terrible hoteliers. I could never have imagined that a host can even ask the guests to leave, over the issue of asking for 2 extra cups of raw tea, the managers shouted so much at us, without listening or understanding our point of view. With very damp rooms and unclean look of the homestay it automatically becomes an unpleasant stay. I sincerely request tourists to avoid this particular place who wish to enjoy their stay and not get shouted at by hosts.

I've already stayed three times at the Zuluk Snow Lion. Location is great (Upper Zuluk). Staff is very efficient and friendly. Food is very good in my opinion. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean spacious accommodation. Welcoming staff. Safe area. Good to experience local life. I recommend if you want to visit Zuluk (Silk Route) the Snow Lion Homestay should be the first choice. Thank you Mustak & Arup for the memorable trip.
