J P Residency

I recently booked a double room at J P Residency through Agoda, priced at ₹2570. While the property is relatively new and clean, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. The biggest issue was the room I was assigned, which was located on the roadside. One of the walls was fully covered with glass, making it incredibly unpleasant. The noise from the road was unbearable, and I could clearly hear every honk and even laughter from passersby at night. It made it very difficult to sleep. They really need to properly soundproof the rooms or close off the side of the wall to block the noise. I would strongly recommend avoiding rooms on this side of the property. Additionally, the room was overpriced for what it offered. The wiring seemed incomplete—there was only one charger point, and the switchboards had no switches, which was frustrating. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly, but I expected more for the price. Also, I was disappointed to find that there were no complimentary tea or coffee mixes, and no electric kettle, despite the photos on Google suggesting otherwise. Given the noise issues and lack of basic amenities, I would not recommend booking here unless you're sure to avoid the noisy rooms. For the price, I expected a lot more in terms of comfort and facilities.

The hotel appears newly built, so rooms are excellent with ac, geyser etc. it is the center of Yelagiri, so easy to access all sight seeing spots. Staff are courteous and helpful The issue is parking, no parking in the hotel. They ask you to leave it in front of the hotel, on the road, but that disturbs all the traffic. We parked our car some 200 - 300 m away.

Absolutely fantastic location with everything nearby, in walkable distance. We were a group of friends who were doing a backpacking trip on cycle and so had requested for keeping the cycle either in our room or near the rooms. We were there only for 1 night. They made good arrangements so that all our rooms next to each other and the corridor space totally to ourselves to park our cycles. The rooms were very comfy & clean. There was AC & geyser that works 24h. They have a veg restaurant below, which we didn't explore in our limited time. Overall, I will definitely recommend this place.
