This is an awesome place in the lap of nature. Everywhere greenery and beautiful birds chirping away. There is a Lord Shiva Temple and a Perumal temple which are definitely a must visit. The food is very homely and tasty. The owner is an ex army personnel and he has himself designed this place. The staff too are very courteous and render excellent service. Will definitely visit this place again and I highly recommend this beautiful place.

Superb place to stay with family. Place is aesthetically done with all necessary amenities. Plan for some time to converse with Cpl. Viswanath and his family, as part of your itinerary 😁; We did not miss Vinayaka Chaturthi bcos the hosts were celebrating the puja with all fervour and bhakti! So warm and refreshing Tasty food, reasonable variety and at very reasonable prices. Staying away from the main town, is an easy decision - after all the town can't offer post-lunch quiet siesta on an oonjal in a vast living room Highly recommend

No complaints about our stay. It was as expected but be informed that this place is suitable only if you are looking to stay away from the bustling city. No shops available in a walking distance or no restaurants available nearby. You have to be dependent on delivery apps for food. River was dry, the place could have been magical if the river had flowing water.

We had an excellent stay at the kuteeram. Mr Viswanath and his team were superb hosts. Very down to earth and ready to help by all means. Without asking Mr Vishwanath volunteered to drop my parents at the station as they had a very late night train :-) The home is nicely done in a very calm and quiet locality. Food was homely and light on your stomach. We made some good memories feeding their cows. Overall a completely satisfactory stay!!

The journey to Kuteeram might make you feel like you've lost your way, but trust me, continue on – this hidden gem is nestled beautifully in a lush green environment. Located far from the hustle and bustle of traffic, the only sounds you'll hear are the melodies of numerous bird species. It's a haven of tranquility, offering the best sleep you could imagine. The house itself is a marvel of design. Coming from the concrete jungle of Bangalore, where space is always at a premium, Kuteeram felt like a palace. The spacious rooms and thoughtfully planned areas, including spaces for full-grown trees right inside the house, are simply breathtaking. The hospitality at Kuteeram is exceptional. The hosts provided delicious vegetarian meals and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Their care and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of our stay. They also have excellent local contacts and arranged an amazing driver for our visits to nearby ancient temples, which are all within an hour's drive. After a long 12-hour drive, arriving at Kuteeram felt like coming home. The warm, enthusiastic, and ever-helpful host made our stay perfect in every way. We had nothing to complain about – everything was just right. In summary, Kuteeram is a beautiful place to stay and visit. It’s the perfect destination for a peaceful vacation that will recharge your mind and soul. I strongly recommend it for anyone looking to escape the chaos of city life and enjoy some serene, quality time.

We travelled to Kumbakonam to visit temples for 2 days last week. We stayed at Maha Periyava Kuteeram for a night and we had a different experience. This homestay was very good, in a peaceful environment with greens and away from the main road by a KM. Own or hired vehicle is required. A beautiful serene atmosphere, you will have when you wake up in the morning. Hospitality by Mr. Viswanathan and his family was very good. BF, Lunch and supper are not available. On request, you will get good tea and coffee. Anyone who wishes to be away from the hotel atmosphere or crowded roads or vehicles disturbances, shall choose this place and have a comfortable, peaceful stay. GPAY facility is available. TV, hotwater, neat beds, very neat bathrooms, airconditioner, ceiling fan, all are available.

This hotel offers an amazing experience with its picturesque setting by the river. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooms were clean, fresh, and cozy, giving off a homely vibe. Leaving this place after just a day feels like bidding farewell to a cherished retreat.
