SILVER HEIGHTS HOMESTAY

My family and I recently visited Valparai and stayed at Silver Heights Homestay. We were given two double bedrooms and one double bedroom with a living room. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and had hot water. There was plenty of parking for our cars. We could enjoy the beautiful scenery through the large windows in our rooms. It felt like we were staying at our own home. We arranged for food delivery to our cottage and the charges were reasonable. Mr. Thomas, the person in charge of the homestay, was incredibly kind and ensured our comfort. He was friendly and helpful, providing us with everything we needed. He also took good care of our driver. We are very grateful to him. Overall, this cottage is an excellent choice for families seeking a comfortable and affordable stay.

Silver Heights' home stay was the best find in Valparai. Mr Thomas was very helpful and gave us 2 fantastic big rooms with a large living room and a huge terrace. Since this building is on a hill, the view was fabulous. That view was to die for. There are no ACs as it is not required. The weather was so pleasant and cool at night. We also saw lion tailed monkeys on our terrace. Tea was provided by Mr Thomas. He guided us to places where we could eat good food. He also informed us about sightseeing in and around Valparai.

A small home stay with balcony and good view. Can be used to stay 1 night. Not a branded hotel or resort . So don't expect too much. Care taker was ok. Manager/owner was great.

We have booked out stay here on July 21 2024 Pls don't book room here, they don't no how to treat customers.We have booked room for 5 members for 4750rs, In the evening we switched on the lights around 6pm and playing cards, suddenly room boy came and switched off all the lights and said there is enough light outside don't switch on the light. Later, 2 times power went off for 10 to 15mins , room boy didn't not on the generator. We called the owner and asked him to on the generator. He refused it and scolding us. Then owner came around 7.30pm , we asked him to on the generator he abused us in the bad bads and asked us to move out of his property. We asked for the refund We used there property only for 3hrs, for that he changed 2000rs , later after lot of argument he charged 1000rs. These guys don't no the basic knowledge about customer service, for asking them the on the generator they abused as in the bad words. There is no complaint about room and view was good , but power backup is basic thing , and they don't even know how to behave with customer. IF YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR SELF RESPECT , PLS BOOK THE ROOM

Worst customer service. Not recommended for family. Frequent power cuts. no power back up even though they have generators, if you request for it to be turned on, they will be very rude and use bad words. The owner and room boy was very rude. Not worth for money. No basic amenities infact Over all its waste stay.

Despite the expectation of a comfortable and convenient stay, the homestay failed to provide even the most essential necessity: drinking water. This oversight not only inconvenienced guests but also raised concerns about the overall level of care and attention to detail. It's disappointing to encounter such disregard for basic customer needs, especially in an industry where hospitality should be paramount. For future guests considering this homestay, be prepared to bring your own water supply, as the management seems to overlook this fundamental requirement.

Stayed here for 3 days during my recent vacation in Valparai. Room was spacious, had a beautiful view of Tea estates. Bathroom was clean. This stay is located off the main road and in the elevated location compared to other resorts in the area, so offers a beautiful view. They have variety of rooms to choose from according to your needs/budgets. Mr. Thomas was very helpful and honest. You can rent the four wheelers also from him. They offer complementary tea/coffee in morning and evenings. Overall very good experience.
