Col Sharma's Homestay

One of the best places to stay in Agra. It was truly a home-like experience for us. Host Vishal and his family helps their guests at every step in their trip and is always available. Rooms are bigger and cleaner than most properties and have all the required facilities. They serve really tasty homemade food. Spending time with family and the two little munchkins made our stay memorable.

Vishal and family were amazing hosts, starting from checkin to checkout, they were so helpful with everything. House is so well kept, one would not want to leave the house and go out for anything. The food was tasty, conversations were very good specially with Vishal who is colonel Sharma’s son. It was our privilege to meet them. Special kudos to the cutest kids over there.

Home away from home! From the word go the experience was absolutely amazing. Thank you Vishal and family for literally making the visit worthwhile. Where to start, as there is so much to say about the positive experience. Vishal, thank you for making the logistics appear so simple. I am so aware how this can be so so difficult for someone visiting without the local knowledge of the place. Such a beautiful family. Uncle is a wealth of knowledge and experience , your wife is a beautiful soul and how can I forget the cutie pies, they are an absolute delight. When I said home away from home, it literally means that- beautiful home and yummy food. Home is made by people living in it and you guys make it perfect. Vishal you sure did above and beyond the norm, which is much much appreciated. A short and sweet stay with Vishal and his family. We were greeted with unparalleled warmth and graciousness despite the late check in. The rooms were spacious and clean. The house transponder you to a different era. Breakfast was served with great love and care and tasted delicious. A home away from home. Special shout out to two in-house angels who were an absolute delight to be with. They can brighten up anyone’s day with their cuteness and charm.

Had honestly the best time with this family in Agra!🙏🏼 All of them are lovely and caring and we had nice chat. The food was delicious, the room was spacious and clean, it just felt like home😊 Vishal also took care of booking the tuktuk, the guide, suggested places to visit… that was a big help and you can trust him 100%!! I highly recommend this place!

Our stay at Col Sharma’s was nothing short of an absolute pleasure. We were greeted instantly as though we were family and were held in such caring regard throughout our stay. Col Sharma, Vishal and Vishal’s wife were extremely hospitable and masters of conversation. They made us some delicious food which we shared with stories and laughter. Whenever we had any worries or concerns regarding our trip, Vishal was there to give us advice and guide us well. The family had such a positive, helpful vibe about them! We also got to let our inner child out with Vishal’s two lovely daughters who kept us on our feet with energy and play with his gorgeous dogs! We were really really glad to have chosen to stay here, it was well worth it. We would 100% recommend, you’ll not regret it!!

My wife and I stayed with Colonel Sharma, Vishal and his beautiful family for 4 nights during Diwali in 2022. From the moment we were picked up at Agra station to the very end of our stay we were made to feel part the family and that their home was our home. The home is very comfortable and full of interesting artwork and artefacts. We were treated to three wonderful, home-cooked and plentiful authentic Indian meals each day and ate them with the family. The family is vastly knowledgeable about Agra and they are well connected, arranging a very good driver and guide (KP Singh) for our stay. Colonel Sharma regaled us with fascinating stories of his and his wife’s own lives and we chatted with the family for hours. We had the privilege of spending Diwali with them, this speaks to their exceptional warmth and hospitality. The Colonel’s son, Vishal, even helped me organise a later leg of our trip in Mumbai. If you are looking for an authentic and complete Indian homestay then this is it. Do not hesitate to book a stay here where ‘Guests are Gods’. You will not regret it.

A beautiful stay in a beautiful house with beautiful people :) we had an amazing time with Col Sir and his family… it was our anniversary and they made it memorable for us ❤️❤️ Col sir is a wonderful person… If you are in Agra do stay here and you will not regret it :) also I suggest to have in-house food as it’s really very good. Thank you Col sir for making our stay memorable 🤗
