Zigzag Homestay

Moses offers a really nice Homestay. I felt welcomed and it's easy to connect with other guests, because it's small and you can have dinner together in the evening. The Homestay is outside of the touristy area, but still not far away and you can reach the important sites easy by Tuktuk, so you get to know the true Indian neighborhood. It's nice to chat with Moses and listen to his stories he likes to tel. Good to learn more about a India.

We loved our stay here and would recommend it to everyone visiting Agra. Moses and his family are fantastic hosts and go out of their way to help and make you feel welcome. While it's a little bit away from the Taj and other attractions, it's easy to sort transportation and Moses can help with this. Being in a very local area, it was lovely and quiet but with plenty of good food places about.

Moses was very welcoming and hospitable. Rooms were clean. Moses also gave a wonderful guided tour of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, organizing everything including transportation and lunch. It was wonderful getting to know him and his family during our brief stay in Agra and I would highly recommend this for anyone interested in a homestay experience.

I had the best stay at Zigzag Hostel—truly the best place I’ve ever stayed! The host, Moses, is incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make your experience memorable. He has so many amazing stories to share and offers great tips, not just about Agra, but for other destinations as well. He also assists with booking various activities and tickets, making everything so easy. Simply wonderful!

Moses was a perfect host and you will be well taken care of during your stay. Highly recommend the sunrise Taj Mahal tour with him (he is not only super knowledgeable but also an awesome photographer). He will help you build your itinerary in Agra and arrange a tuk tuk for you. Dinner was delicious as well! I slept through the alarm but he was kind enough to wake me up for my early train which I am so grateful for ❤️

We had a wonderful time ar ZigZag hostel. Myself and my other female friend arrived very early for a sunrise tour of the Taj Mahal all organised and led by the guys who Run the hostel. They then brought us to a cafe for breakfast and some of the other guests continued to do a tour of Agra fort with them (we were just too tired because of our journey to get to Agra). The rooms were simple, clean, safe and met all our needs. We had dinner and breakfast at the hostel. Food was delicious and incredible value. The best part was the great conversation with one of the owners. Hearing lots of stories about India and his travels and adventures. Overall it was a really beautiful experience to stay here. We felt really well looked after, everything was made really simple for us and it was a joy to get to know the other lovely guests and the hostel owners.

This is a very cozy hostel. It is actually a Homestay converted to a hostel. The space is small but I liked my stay over here. The dorm rooms were good, washrooms were clean and taken care of! John is a very nice host and helped with all the local food places, visiting Taj Mahal, and also helped me book a bus to my destination. Totally recommending this for solo travelers who want to opt budget stay for 1-2 nights in Agra.

Lovely, out of the way hostel with comfy beds. Moses and family were the highlight of our stay in Agra, super friendly and so helpful with giving travel advice for Agra and beyond. My tip is do everything Moses recommends, the restaurants are great and he knows all the good views of the Taj Mahal.
