Room was superb, location is excellent. But before booking this place, keep in ur mind that won't get food over there, no helping hand provide to take ur luggage upstairs. Owner is rude, thay put lots of restrictions . Kitchen is there but if u use , u ll HV to pay separate charges. If u give true review then these people defend themselves by giving fake statement that we 4 people family which includes 1 kid of 6 yrs age , me 65 yrs old lady get drunk over there n creat naucience . What rubbish. I m not recommend this place to anyone

**Read this Carefully** This was my third time staying at this property; I stayed solo twice, and both times I had a somewhat positive experience. However, this time I went with my close friends and had a terrible experience, and I am now feeling embarrassed. However, I knew the owners were too rude and not cooperative with others, but I was okay because I don't drink, party, or make noise so I never had any problems. However, despite being sober, this location is absolutely not for you. This facility feels like a jail, especially when you're with the harsh and controlling proprietors. Since they don't serve food and you can't order anything late at night since there will be too many locks and if you don't have the keys the owner will claim we won't open the gates at this time? And will taunt is this the time to order the food? I always choose the most expensive family room because of the space, However, this time, the a/c, tv, and geyser were not working, and the weather was lovely, so we didn't say anything. However, on the final night of our visit, even the fan stopped working, and we remained in this position for two hours while waiting for the light to come on. The light did come on, but there was a malfunction somewhere in the house. When I called the owner at 2 am, he stated that there had been no light in the residence since evening and that we were unable to file a complaint at this time. I said it’s ok, we’ll check out then, the owner replied Is this the time to check out, I responded in a furious tone, "Do you think we'll be in this spot all night?" Open the doors immediately, I promptly called a cab and left the building at 3 in the morning, but one of my friends made a nice gesture and apologized for having disturbed you. He responded, "You guys keep bothering me by ordering food at night and checking out at this time." And in front of my pals, I felt ashamed. **GO at your own risk**

Had a very unpleasant stay at Horizon Homestays. I checked in on 4th July for one night stay. I was charged 900 rs for the same. I had plans of extending my stay if the experience felt good. The experience felt very unpleasant and I had to cut my trip short because of it. I did not check airbnb before booking this place and later found much cleaner options within 4-5 kms in both North and south directions. There were a couple of options in same or lesser price range on airbnb. I got influenced by the overall ratings on google and made the mistake of not reading some of the recent reviews. I have given two stars because the owner allowed me to see the room before making the payment and because there was hot water (geyser) available for bath. The rooms felt damp and smelly when the lady owner showed me the rooms. The owner (lady) told me it was because the room was closed as they were away from home and would change in few minutes after opening the windows. She almost pressured me into making the decision quickly and make the payment ASAP, which is the mistake I regret. It was evening already and I was tired and so I gave in. The smelliness reduced a bit after opening the windows, but it was still there till next morning. The room gave an experience of being in a old room in a commercial hotel where people are not too bothered about the warmth and cleanliness in the room. If like me your reason for going to a homestay instead of a hotel is warmth and cleanliness you won't get it here. There were cobwebs and a makdi near the stool at the corner which made clear how long has it been before it was cleaned properly. I took the room with fan, with big windows and no AC. The fan was installed so close to the ceiling that if you sit or stand you feel the air but once you lie down the air hardly reaches you. When I shared this with the owner (male) in the morning, he told me they have been using this room for a long time and no one has said this to them. The bed sheets, pillow cover and curtains all felt very old. The rooms are not as spacious as they look in the pictures. The AC room next to this room felt even more smaller with just one small window. There are too many iron gates installed to keep the monkey out within the small space. And yes there are lots of instructions printed and pasted on different doors. The experience was so unpleasant that even though I slept extremely physically and mentally tired around 11.40 pm I could nt sleep, kept waking up every few hours and finally got up at 4 am and had to leave the place around 6 am. Hope this helps someone make a better decision.

My stay at Horizon was simply amazing. I wouldn’t even call it a hostel; it was more like staying with a lovely family in a beautiful villa with view of the Hymalaya ridge. The place really feels like being home. The mother of the family will prepare amazing home cooked food and every member of the family is ready to give you advice. Moreover, they will keep you company and make you feel part of the family. I will miss this place and I hope to be back some day!

Worst ever place without any basic facility ,rude n uncooperative owner, in short a big black spot in the name of homestay. They don't have any helping staff for luggage n also don't have a way to greet the guests . There was a kitchen but it's chargeable which includes the use of only utensils n a gas stove . No clock room facility. No home cooked food which is the basic requirement of any homestay. They put lots of restrictions as if we r not giving any money for staying over there. They charge very high in comparison to the other hotels or homestays in the same area. These people don't have anything to defend, they had given fake statement in response to my review

Somehow it can never be doon valley for me, as the popular lingua goes. Mr. Ruskin Bond taught me its Dehra, he said, "our trees still grow in Dehra", and I say, yes they still do and Dehra is beautiful, and so are its horizons! Come watch them from the terrace of Mr. Kshitij's Horizon Home Stay, located in the suburbs of the city, in Rajpur Road. The lower Himalayan ranges will treat your eyes from here. And birds will sing for you as sweet as they do high up in the hills, you just need to is stand under a tree and close your eyes, that's all! The location is great and safe. The in-house cafe provides tasty, healthy, homely, vegetarian food. Don't miss aunt's paneer pakodas and sandwiches! I had a peaceful 8-day stay here. I relaxed. I meditated. I worked. And I was well looked after, like I belonged here. The hosts are very friendly and you'll love them! Rooms are spacious enough and very clean. Beds cozy. Water plenty. I had a great time interacting with the other guests here too. The Sakya Monastery is only a 5-minute walk from here! And the road on the right, out of their lane, takes you straight to Mussoorie! I also discovered, Rajpur Road is great for evening walks, so enjoy! If you want to experience the meditative spirit and calm of Dehra out of a regular home, without having to do much rushing, do come here. Being a solo woman traveller in India is daunting. So when I am travellin, I basically have to track down the right people and places for a secured stay. And I am glad I found Horizon Home Stay🤗. ~Kanchan Pondicherry

We had such a wonderful stay and appreciated everything this beautiful family did for us, from cooking lovely food to suggesting us what to do around Tansen and sharing information on Nepali culture. I absolutely recommend you to stay here if you are planning on visiting Tansen, which is a beautiful town. The house is also very clean and offers a great view on the city and the valley.
