Harsil Heritage Homestay

Harsil Heritage Home Stay is as if you are living in paradise—in the middle of apple orchards. Thanks to Sonam and entire Negi family for such a wonderful stay. We felt as if we were part of entire large family. Jasbir ji, humble good ladies and other male members in the adjacent houses were chit-chatting with us as if we knew each other for years. Nothing can match property which is probably at highest location in Harsil and you always get ‘Drone-like view’ of entire Harsil valley sitting in your living area. Room and sitting areas are so cozy with heaven-view that you get addict to it. All modern amenities, clean bed and linen and quality washroom with 24x7 running cold and hot water. Home cooked food and ever-ready help from Manish ji and all family members actually touched us. Meeting was fantastic with Mr. Ranbir Singh Negi ji who was chief instructor at NIM and a mountaineering legend; he is such a knowledgable yet humble person who will immediately earn respect in your heart. Mr. Sonam arranged for the trek for us and it was a hassle-free experience—memorable; many thanks to Mr. Dinesh and Tulraj Singh for taking such a wonderful care of us. Approach and climb to homestay may bother you first day only but if it was on the road head it would have been like a any regular home stay in Yatra route—once you go and stay there, I am sure you will never stay elsewhere in the region. Thanks Mr. Sonam—no words to explain such a wonderful experience … 🙏

I went for one week and stayed two in May. The family that live here are very kind, calm people. I feel so grateful for their energy. This place is completely in nature where you can find a real sense of peace and quiet. You have a view of the bhagirati river which you can hear always and of course surrounded by mountains. There are many birds that visit. The food that they give you as part of the homestay is home cooked, healthy, delicious and most of the produce is harvested within a 1km distance around the homestay making it local and seasonal. I would have stayed longer if I had the means and will certainly be back. Do not miss the opportunity to come here if you get a chance!

I would like to give 6 out of 5 to this place. It’s hard to get here but trust me the climb up is worth the view and time you spend there. The people who take care of this place are beautiful inside out. They keep you as their own. Food is Simple yet delicious. All farm grown. Very very hospitable family. The rooms are big and comfortable. A must visit!!!!

The best location at the height with view of Bhagirathi river & Snow peaked mountains. The staying facilities are comfortable with home like atmosphere. Sonam is a the best person around to facilitate your stay with all ancillary help.

Amazing place, amazing host and such beautiful guest house... Best place to stay in Harsil for sure. Went in December during peak snow season and loved every minute spent... Would love to visit during the autumn to witness the colorful valley of Harsil!
