Devangan Homestay is located very beautifully. It is secluded , quite and well maintained place. Neat and clean. Service is good. Owner of the place Mr. Narendra Rana is a knowledgeable thorough gentleman. We are definitely coming again soon.

I feel 200 characters falls short to describe the wonderful stay at this lodge. Right from the accommodation, to the food (it's absolutely mouth watering... still miss it soo much!!), to all the facilities provided there; we were taken such good care of 💕 and Nari Bhaiya is the most warmest and welcoming you'll get... if u want a comfortable, happy stay, that feels like being at a home away from home, this is the place to go. Eager to go there again someday 💗

This is the most homely and hospitable homestay. The owner is very friendly and not only took care of us but also shared amazing stories with us. The rooms are just perfect with all facilities. It is located in a breathtaking location- surrounded by mountains and in the midst of nature!|P.S - they make the best food and the world’s best chai!

I recently visited Lata village through my college for research, and stayed at this beautiful place. It is owned by Mr Narendra and he ensured that we have the most comfortable and fun stay. He was always available to solve any problems and shared amazing stories and incidents with us. The rooms are well equipped with all the facilities and are quiet spacious. The best part was definitely the Chai (Tea) and the scrumptious food they served us. The location too is excellent as it is located in the midst of nature with breathtaking views.

Situated amonst breathtaking mountains, the lodge is the perfect place to connect with nature's serene beauty. You can go for a hike in the mountains or sit by the Ganga when you come here. The host and other staff are extremely welcoming, joyful and their willingness to go out of their way to make us feel at home is remarkable.

I spend few days with my husband and my 6 year old son at Devangan lodge last October. The lodge offers all modern facilities, private bathroom and hot water. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The setting of the lodge is extraordinary, on the banks of the Dhauli Ganga, in the beautiful Niti valley. You will fall asleep soothed by the sound of the river and the waterfall facing the lodge. Narender and his team are incredibly sweet and welcoming, and will make sure to cater for everything you need during your stay. This is a unique opportunity for honest and meaningful exchange between travellers and the local bhotiya community, and for supporting a form of tourism that seeks to benefits the locals and takes care to not disrupt their natural and social environment. In other words, a very special place, highly recommended.

I wanted to explore Nanda Devi National Park region and decided to stay at this property for 2 nights. I was on a solo bike ride and was concerned about safety of my bike. Narendra Bhaiyya assured me about the bike safety and also explained me the facilities and tariff. I booked my stay at Shepherd’s Lodge. The property is near Lata Village and fully accessible by road. It’s surrounded by huge mountains on either sides and the Dhauliganga river flows through the valley on one side. Parking is available at the property. My room was kept ready and was neat and clean. Linens were fresh. Stay was inclusive of food, from breakfast to dinner. Food served was fresh and tasty. Narendra bhaiyya is an ex-instructor from Nehru Mountaineering School and I had a great time talking with him about the treks and places around the region. He and his team are very nice people and very helpful. I had a great time with them. Overall, I’m happy with the experience at Shepherd’s Lodge and would definitely recommend to others. I would visit again next time when I plan my treks in nanda Devi Park.

Shepherds lodge , Devangan located on a picturesqe setting on the banks of Dhauliganga river, just 25 kms away from Joshimath. It's a must place for all people from adventure, bird watching lovers, flower valley visitors and so on. We gotta an opportunity to stay in this beautiful lodge almost a week during Nandadevi Outer Sanctuary trek.Mr. Narender Singh Rana, of Shepherds lodge, is one to contact for everything.He was the chief guide during our trekking during the month of October 2019 and made our trekking memorable one. Biju, fantastic guy was with us during trek and what a trek it was...Really believe me Naren bhai will take care of everything from Dil Se.... I bet every one will enjoy beautiful Lata, Reni villages,Bhavishya badri temple,explore Niti valley; experiencing the distinctive Bhotiya culture, who worship Nandadevi mountain as their patron goddess. Narender Rana and team we miss you all and hope to meet you all once again shortly... Jai Mata di, Jai Badri Vishal...
