Kasar Wonder Hill Homestay

I had stayed here with my family in May 23 and it was a wonderful experience. The spectacular view of the Himalayan Range from the wide glass wall of the room was a treat to our eyes. The room was very spacious, well maintained with all modern amenities. The toilet was super clean. We enjoyed the various home made foods by Mr. Mukesh's family. The owner was very very careful and prompt to any kind of requests and very well behaved. The homestay is at a walkable distance from Kasar Devi temple. The serenity of the homestay is going to charm you specially if you are looking for some quality leisure time with the family/friends. I would definitely recommend this to others.

We primarily selected this homestay for the praising reviews of the earlier visitors and the photos of the place. When we reached there, I must admit, all those tempting items became much less than what we found. The homestay is a slice of heaven with exquisitely designed rooms and attached washrooms besides the comfortable beds and essential furniture which may easily please any visitor on a tour. And on top of it, it’s great to stay with so close views of the legendary snow peaks from dawn to dusk with a lovely courtyard garden before the rooms. No less amazing are the views from the rooftop, if one cares to go there during any time of the day. Regardless of the high standard of the accommodation, what impressed us most is the family that owns this homestay. They leave nothing to keep the guests happy and relish their stays—the tasty local foods they provide with many of the items coming from their own garden are too delicious to forget. Thus, the memories of young Mr Mukesh Singh Bisht, his mother and grandmother are permanently etched in our minds. When we left the place, we carried with us an irresistible urge to go there again someday.

Absolutely fantastic homestay! The host Mr Mukesh Bisht is polite,courteous, extremely friendly & helpful. Mukeshji & his mother & grandmother serve the most delicious home cooked meals with most of the food sourced from their own farm. Rooms are spacious & comfortable with very clean bathrooms. The corner room with 2 large windows is the best. Location is top notch.The views of the Uttarakhand Himalayas from the house are to die for. Don't think twice about booking this homestay, you won't regret it!!

We found this most scenic homestay while asking around for good places to stay. and to our pleasant surprise the place was exactly what we wanted .. open.. homely .. quiet yet not secluded… on the top of the mountain to get a paronymic view..clean rooms with clean sheets and bedding.. Mukesh our host is nothing short of what a perfect host should be .. very nice to talk to.. humble.. making sure that we have his number handy incase of help needed..thanks for making the trip nice for us to take good memories back! mom and I will be back again :-) just to add groceries is 200 mts aways.. nearest good eating place is 400 mts walk and a comfortable walk.

The property is on top of the hill so you'll have a 360 ⁰ view of the snow peaks. The host is a calm young energetic who lives with his mother and an elderly lady who cook wonderful local meals and are actual super foods. My stay was for a day and I extended it because of the hospitality and warm hosting.

Kasar Wonder Hill is a comfortable homestay which offers beautiful panoramic views of the Himalayas. The rooms are spacious, cleans and well laid out. The big windows elevate the experience through the views they offer. There is also a cute mountain dog in the property who isn't intrusive if you don't want it to be. The homestay is also very close to all the popular cafes in Kasar Devi. Some of the cafes are happy to deliver meals at the homestay - this is helpful especially at night. Mukesh is an amiable and welcoming host who is readily available to answer your questions and make your stay comfortable. Breakfast and tea/coffee are available on order.

What a hidden gem! And I hope it stays that way. Spacious rooms with unfettered views and the hospitality and homecooked food by Mr. Bisht was spot on. Well maintained garden and veg patch... I am tempted to return and spend a longer stint here as it was a perfect combination of comfort, views and great food. Cute village to walk through too. We were a group of 5 and the rooms afforded enough space and comfort for all and while spread across did not compromise on the view...Terrace was an awesome view spot too. This is an absolutely wonderful and unimaginably beautiful place. Spotless and pretty rooms with gorgeous views, comfy bed. Mukesh is a kind, gentle and helpful person with a good sense of humour. He and his lovely family have created such a magical and serene place. We extended our stay twice and are already planning to come back! The home cooked Kumaoni dinners made using ingredients from the garden were one of the highlights of our stay in Kasar Devi. Such tasty and nourishing food! So grateful for our stay at this special place and excited to return.
